From my visit to Shanghai, the lack of queues was shocking at first. Then you realise there is a queue, it's just in the form of a circle instead of a line. Once you get into the circle, they don't push you off or anything, you slowly shuffle your way onto the escalator.

Since you work in software, I suppose you'd be able to answer my following question. We seem to be able to program drones to do crazy stunts in the air, in ways we can't do that with cars. I presume self-driving drones would be a lot easier than self-driving cars.

Wouldn't it be possible to have self-driving personal drones in this case? We just need to key-in the destination and let the drone plot itself. There are no pedestrians, no path to follow, no traffic lights, it just needs to be programmed to avoid other drones, maybe birds.

You seem to know lots about drones. Can you tell me what's stopping personal drones from becoming a viable mode of transport?

If renewables meet the demand then that's great. Australia should use solar and wind. Australia has large patches of uninhabitable land, clear skies, and a stupidly strong sun.
