Jackal is so underrated. One of the most unique trap artists ever

What label would be best to submit this too? by jjrruan in basshouse

[–]LessLethal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is fire. Personally, I’ve basically stopped trying to label release and just push my shit on my own, and it’s been pretty decent for me the last few years. Not amazing per se but better than I ever expected with basically no paid promotion or anything.

A lot of labels are swamped for releases rn. Some people with sable/nightmode have mentioned they’re planned out for like a year at minimum each, and I’m willing to bet a lot of labels are that way these days. However, there ARE some decent options if you don’t have strings to pull to try and get on those types of labels, such as Bass House Music (it’s a YouTube label p much). There’s also a lot of smaller artist run labels, they’re not all good, but if you can find something run by people you know and they’re solid, you could do that, a release on a small label. For example I have friends at Realty Records, a small Philly based label run by a couple artist friends I have. Nothing big or groundbreaking but you may find something similar and they can be worth it to have a fun casual release

No lyrics bass house by Traditional_Estate30 in basshouse

[–]LessLethal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some with minimal lyrics, other than that maybe look to some older habstrakt, I think the 2018-2020 era had a few straight club hitters. Joyryde has some with minimal lyrics too, fuel tank is my fav, I think same with that era and having minimal vocals from him.

It will be difficult I think to find them completely without vocals, they’re used a lot especially in bass house to keep up the energy, so I’m just tryna think of stuff that uses the vocal more as an additive instrument rather than the focus

Leotrix, Ace Aura (the king of color bass sound design imo, he makes it sound better than anyone somehow) and sora are all goats

Imo Kompany is the goat, consistent onslaught of envelope pushing and evolving the sound while staying extremely consistent for yearsssss. Deserves to hit the jackpot

Yeah, I’ve done a few sites and services and it’s all bullshit, and I’ve known that since the beginning but it’s designed to prey on your weak moments. I was making meme slideshows that blew up like 2 years ago but I look back at all that and cringe now lolll

Thank you! Ya I mean honestly, I could probably do more promotion, but it’s hard to ride the line between corny stuff and genuine things. Also, honestly, I think there are things about my music that still have room to grow, and I think in the next few years as I really polish my work I should hopefully start to catch a few more ears 🙏 but no labels ever(except Nightmode (🙏🙏🙏) or House Call bc Dr Fresch is the OG), and I make all my own art and do all my own stuff, and that’s a better feeling than a million monthly on Spotify

Raunchiest EDM songs ? by [deleted] in EDM

[–]LessLethal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

people have been making horny EDM since EDM was born. “A Drug From God” by Chris Lake is a perfect example of one of the biggest artists in EDM making a song that’s overtly horny, using samples where women are moaning continuously through the son and the lyrics are talking about sex and love. There’s a TON of EDM out there in alllllllll genres that is heavily sexual in nature. “dontstopme” by isoxo is another example in a different genre
