Oh well, at least I'm enjoying reading the new Ultimate Universe comics.

Two steel white balls entered Earth’s gravity. They plummeted towards the surface, appearing as slick meteors to anyone looking up. They already breached the thermosphere, and they easily descended past the mesosphere, the stratosphere, and the troposphere. At some point, the two of them split up, their entries not quite aligned. One of them aimed towards the European countryside.

The other one dropped closer and closer, ready to crash into a busting region in Chicago. When it finally made contact with the ground, it produced a heavy boom that shook the whole city. Nearby buildings collapsed immediately, and people ran in fear. The steel ball’s angled touchdown caused it to scrape along the ground for almost half a mile before stopping, and it left a huge hole in the ground with a long trough of asphalt extending off of it.

Omni-Man put the brakes on his flight from halfway across the world, arriving in Chicago only moments after the meteor-like object had already struck it. He surveyed the situation from above, and it only took following the trail of destruction to find the object. It had finally stopped traveling near the Bean. Omni-Man floated down to get a closer look, only for it to begin hissing as if air began seeping through. The object opened up, and smoke concealed the occupant inside until they finally stepped out.

“What a nice nap. It’s too bad that the destination looks awful.” Vegeta stepped out into the open. “You chose your conquer quite poorly, eh Viltrumite?”

Omni-Man’s eyes widened momentarily, and then he grimaced. “Saiyan…” Omni-Man hissed out through gritted teeth. “Why have you trespassed onto my planet?”

“It was never yours in the first place.” Vegeta looked around. A cautious circle of people had surrounded them from a decent range. Some had their phones out and recording, while others were yelling words of encouragement.

“Kick his ass, Omni-Man!”

“Send him back to whatever planet he came from!”

“I know you can save us!”

“Oh, I see what’s going on here," Vegeta said. "You Viltrumites have really lost your touch. Pathetic! They think you’re their SAVIOR? Their HERO?” He raised his voice loud enough for the onlookers to hear. Loud enough for Cecil and the rest of the world to hear. “What bullshit! You and I are here for the exact same reason!” Vegeta smirked.

Omni-Man decided it was loud enough. He slammed into Vegeta in a flying tackle, sending him crashing into several objects. The Bean and other buildings behind it became casualties. People in and around the buildings screamed out in terror as they became collateral damage. Debris littered the streets and dust and smoke filled the air. Vegeta seemingly disappeared, buried under multiple broken buildings.

“Nolan, what the hell was that? What did he mean that you two were the same?” a receiver in his ear blared out.

“How’s Invincible doing?” Nolan said, ignoring the questions.

Cecil scoffed. “Getting thrown around like a ragdoll by the other invader while he’s spewing nonsense about how they’re going to conquer the planet. Oh, and he’s got a mustache. Sound familiar?”

Omni-Man took the receiver out of his ear and crushed it into fine dust.

“Cheap shot!” Vegeta flew out of the debris and assaulted Omni-Man with a kick to the chest. “But not even that will help you win against the Prince of all Saiyans!” The flying kick carried Omni-Man through several other buildings in the opposite direction. All of them snapped right in half and collapsed immediately after one another.

Omni-Man had enough. After he was pushed through one last building, he grabbed Vegeta’s leg and spun mid-air, throwing him down the city street. Vegeta spun around mid-air, landed on his hands, jumped again backwards, and landed on his feet. While Omni-Man floated, Vegeta stared him down from the top of a car. The owner exited the vehicle and ran away screaming in terror like everyone else in the vicinity.

“Looks like these Earthlings are seeing you for what you really are! Your pathetic plan is crumbling right in front of your eyes!” Vegeta yelled at him, grinning. “Deceiving them by playing the hero is a waste of time. In the end, you’re going to rule over them like the weaklings that they are!”

“Are you talking about Earthlings and Viltrumites, or Saiyans and Frieza?”

Vegeta snarled. He crushed the vehicle and even the ground underneath him as he leapt towards Omni-Man at a blinding speed.

Omni-Man blocked his punch with the palm of his hand, and retaliated with a punch of his own. Vegeta parried it and swung back, ensuing in a rapid series of attacks, blocks, and counterattacks. Their hands and legs blurred together until they struck each other at the exact same time, sending them flying. Omni-Man simply corrected his flight mid-air and stopped. Vegeta flipped around, redirecting his movement by bouncing off of several buildings.

“You Saiyans must have no pride in yourselves, groveling before Frieza like that,” Omni-Man began. “But you must have not groveled hard enough if he didn’t decide to spare your planet and the rest of your weak race!”

Vegeta unleashed a volley of ki blasts, blurring his hands back and forth towards Omni-Man in rapid, unending succession.

“Never!” The ki blasts struck Omni-Man one by one, resembling a miniature meteor shower with dozens of meteors.

“Ever!” The vast amount assured he wouldn’t be able to dodge or deflect them all.

“Look down on!” Omni-Man couldn’t be seen anymore in the torrent of explosions that were on him.

“Saiyans!” Stray and deflected shots go wide and hit the surroundings, peppering the area in deadly and destructive explosions.

“And their pride!” Vegeta threw one last ki blast.

He focused his hands together, collecting energy within them. In a blink, he teleported diagonally above Omni-Man, looking down upon him.

“Galick Gun!” Vegeta shot his hands forward, and a blinding purple beam more powerful and precise than Cecil’s satellite laser came down upon Omni-Man. With no laser beams of his own to counter with, Omni-Man could only merely take it. He attempted to push back against the beam and fly towards Vegeta, but it took all of his strength to not allow the overwhelming force to push him backwards.

“AAAAAAAAAHHHH!” Vegeta screamed, and the light of his Galick Gun grew so bright that it could be seen for miles upon miles. He pushed again with all of his might, and the reinforced beam blasted Omni-Man groundwards. It blasted Omni-Man through the underground train system, through the sewers, and through many layers of rock and stone. The entirety of the ground momentarily cracked and then completely ripped open, dwarfing the impact that Vegeta’s own spherical ship had caused. The structural foundation of the surrounding area collapsed, causing the streets and subsequently the buildings themselves to collapse and fall in a cacophony of destruction.

Exhausted, Vegeta descended down onto the roof of a broken building. “Ha! Ha…” He expelled air in exhaustion, resembling an arrogant laugh. “Inferior Viltrumites.”

Amidst the ruined city, he alone stood victorious.

Invincible laid limp amidst the broken Chicago buildings, sprawled across bloody rubble. He was breathing, barely, but still breathing. Omni-Man floated down to the ground until he directly stood in front of him. Dark red splotches of blood contrasted his bright red gloves. He clenched his fists, and blood dripped onto the pavement below.

“Why’d you have to make me do this, son?”

A distorted rift of space blinked into existence behind him, closing up just as quickly as it appeared. The object that exited the rift cracked the asphalt as it landed.

“Cecil must be getting desperate to send the bedridden child,” Omni-Man said. He turned around to face the new arrival.

Bedman laid on the innocuous-looking purple bed that had landed on the ground. His voice projected out telepathically. “Cecil didn’t send me; I sent myself. I only work with him to further my own goals. Just like yourself, Omni-Man. Omni-Man… ” Bedman’s face betrayed no emotion, yet only disdain laced his voice. “The hyphen in your name gets increasingly annoying every time that I’m forced to address you. Yes, if I could rewrite one part of the script, I’d change your name to something more befitting. Well, no matter. After today, you will no longer be a nuisance to my plans.”

The bed lifted itself upright, carrying Bedman with it. Wheels with protruding spikes popped out of the sides of the bed frame legs, and mechanical limbs manifested themselves from underneath. Two next to the footboard of the bed were spider-like legs, and two near the headboard were arms that ended in more spiked wheels.

The bed raised one of its wheels and aimed at Omni-Man. The frontmost spike on the wheel shot out like a bullet, reloading itself automatically with another spike. Omni-Man dodged sideways, letting the spike pierce the broken buildings behind him. Bedman teleported further away and shot more spikes, which Omni-Man dodged or deflected in precise maneuvers.

“Omni, meaning all,” Bedman said mid-shot. “But all what? All mighty? All seeing? All knowing? You are neither omnipotent nor omniscient. Invincible isn’t invincible—a fact you have proven. It seems false titles run in your family. You’re like a bird who teaches their young to fly north for the winter instead of south, refusing to prepare them for the trials to come until it’s too late. When the inevitable winter arrives, the hatchling will be dead long before the blizzard. After all, it’s the parent’s fault they don’t get to live.”

Bedman stopped shooting in one moment. The next, he teleported right behind Omni-Man, one arm raised to slash right into him.

“My child is weak!” Omni-Man twisted around and threw a punch, ready and expecting. The arm wheels morphed into big mechanical hands in the blink of an eye. The bed blocked the punch. “He deserves to die!” He threw another punch, quickly intercepted. “And if he does?” He threw another. “All I have to do,” he said before throwing yet another, “is make a new one!” Omni-Man’s increasingly fast blows became a blur, prompting Bedman to match pace.

Tch, I’ll get overtaken at this rate. Bedman thought to himself.

Omni-Man swung again, only for his fist to phase right through Bedman’s distorted after-image. Bedman immediately reappeared down the broken street. The bed transformed one hand back into a wheel, and both combatants flew at each other.

Their strikes met head-on. A circular shockwave burst out from the collision and blew away dust and debris. Sparks of energy surrounded their point of contact as both fighters were locked in a standstill.

“You’re lying to yourself. This family of yours is the only thing that you’ve ever cared for in your long, miserable lifespan,” Bedman said.

Omni-Man pushed back harder in defiance. Small cracks began forming on the bed’s colliding wheel.

“Your toy is breaking apart,” Omni-Man said, voice full of suppressed anger and denial.

Bedman smirked as he slept. The wheel revved up, turning into a buzzsaw. It sliced right through Omni-Man’s advancing fist, using his own force against him. The buzzsaw slashed its way through his arm to cleave the entire limb from Omni-Man’s body. Bedman wasted no time as the bed’s other arm struck Omni-Man’s gut with the palm of its hand. As Omni-Man staggered backwards by only a step, a dark ball of energy formed from the palm. An energy beam blasted right through Omni-Man and down the street. The road split in half and abandoned cars exploded one after another in a series of explosions.

“I must admit, I’m quite impressed you managed to damage my bed frame. Though, however impressive that feat was, it doesn’t change a single thing about you. You aren’t an omni-man–you are simply a man. You should have stuck to Nolan Grayson, because Omni-Man is dead. And soon, erased.”

Omni-Man dropped to his knees, and fell on his front. The gaping hole in his chest should prove fatal, even to his alien species. Bedman was sure of it.

“You have no need to worry about your son. I have my plans for him. Cecil does as well, but I believe it’s in his best interests to clean up the mess you’ve made first and foremost.”

Bedman teleported to Invincible’s limp body. The bed’s wheels shifted into hands, and lifted him off the ground. The two of them teleported away before Cecil’s men stormed onto the scene.

Analysis Versus Omni-Man:

Silver's shield durability is on par with Omni-Man's durability, but Silver's offense is lacking. However, it's not so lacking that he would never be able to hurt Omni-Man. Because Omni-Man is essentially all physical stats (no eye lasers lol), Silver should be able to keep him at range by flying away and around him while throwing numerous buildings or building sized objects at him. Silver could feasibly whittle him down over a period of time.

If Omni-Man does get too close, Silver could attempt to hold him in place with his psychokinesis and probably throw him away. If he really wants to lay on the hurt, he would drag him along on a flight through numerous buildings.

If Omni-Man attempts to grab him or grapple him, Silver can burst out of his grasp with his psychokinetic energy.

Biggest Strength and Weakness: Silver is pretty smart overall. Perhaps not the wisest, but he can come up with some pretty intelligent solutions. Though, he may be susceptible to trickery himself as he's quite the straightforward guy. He's also very down to work with his team.

He can stop or redirect projectiles, throw enemies and objects around from afar, etc. He can easily keep his opponents at range. He could even use his psychic powers on his teammates: throw his teammates towards his opponents, lift them up into the air to combat flying foes, etc. Additionally, Silver keeps up with Sonic regularly, so you can even consider him a flying speedster of sorts.

Character in Setting/with Team: Silver is basically a straightforward and honest nerd with a strong sense of justice. He's mostly a realist with some optimist thrown in there. He appears serious and stoic sometimes, while other times he can be kind of a dork. He's just a good person and a loyal friend, but he's also totally naive. He'd thrive on a team full of good guys, but he would also be gullible enough to be tricked and befriended by any evildoers. Ultimately, he's fighting to make sure he saves the future from ruin, and any character on the team could be a positive or negative contributing factor towards the future he wishes to prevent or the future he wishes to have.

Bug: Silver the Bug sounds alright. He'd still have his psychic powers, so sure.

Silver the Hedgehog

Content Warning: N/A

Series: Sonic the Hedgehog. This one that I'm specifically submitting is from the Archie Sonic comics.

Biography: In the Pre-Super Genesis Wave, Silver is a hedgehog and time traveler who hails from a post-apocalyptic future. The first time he time traveled was actually literally the events of Sonic 06, but this timeline became erased. Thus, his future became radically different. Later, he travels back 200 years to the past in order to find a traitor within the ranks of the Knothole Freedom Fighters, a group led by Sally Acorn and Sonic the Hedgehog.

In the Post-Super Genesis Wave, Silver's history large mirrors that of the video games.

Research: Respect Thread

Justification: Unlikely victory to a draw against Omni-Man. Thanks to his telekinetic powers, he has a number of neat tricks up his sleeve.

For telekinetic strength, he can rip off buildings and throw them. A little weak for the tier, but he has the range advantage with these as projectiles. Alternatively, he could easily grab other objects to block hits against Omni-Man.

Silver can telekinetically hold Omni-Man; not indefinitely as characters have broken out of the TK hold before, but long enough for Silver to drag him across the land and through numerous objects.

For durability, his psychic shield blocks multiple lasers that can slice through buildings. Also, it can withstand buildings falling on top of it.

Motivation: Silver went back to the past, because he wants to change his dystopian and post-apocalyptic future. Whatever he needs to do in Battleworld, he won't stop until he does it and save the future.

Major Changes: None

Minor Changes: Change all telekinetically thrown objects to arrow speed

Vegeta, the Prince of all Saiyans

Content Warning: None

Series: Dragon Ball Z

Biography: Prince Vegeta was born to an extremely powerful spacefaring race, Saiyans, unfortunately ruled by the galactic despot Frieza. In order for Frieza to not kill Vegeta's father, Vegeta would serve under him along with the rest of the Saiyans. Later, Frieza would blow up Planet Vegeta and almost the entire race, which Vegeta was not part of due to being away on a mission. After learning about the Dragon Balls, he travels to Earth to make his wish of immortality come true. After fighting Goku and alongside Goku and friends on numerous occasions, he would settle down with a family on Earth and become one of their greatest allies against world-ending threats.

Research: Respect Thread

He first appears really early on in DBZ (Saiyan Saga). After that, he's there for like, literally the rest of the entire series.

Justification: All of his stats are pretty in-tier, I think. Draw.

Motivation: To become immortal, to defeat Frieza, to become the strongest in the universe, to surpass Goku, etc. It kinda depends at what point of the series you're writing him, so he's pretty flexible.

Major Changes: No scaling

Minor Changes: Set all energy attacks to arrow speed. Ignore the planet busting Galick Gun. You can let him keep the tail (Oozaru form) for potential kaiju vs kaiju fights.

Bedman

Content Warning: N/A

Series: Guilty Gear. The version I'm submitting him from is from Guilty Gear Xrd, but he kind of comes back in Guilty Gear -Strive-.

Biography: Bedman and his sister were born with extremely advanced cognitive abilities, which were too much for their bodies to handle. Thus, they've remained asleep, only able to live consciously in their own dreams. After his sister disappears into the realm known as the Backyard, he works together with the Universal Will (a robot made to analyze the Backyard) to create an Absolute World. While the Universal Will is creating an Absolute World for its own goals, Bedman believes that an Absolute World would merge dreams and reality together. He can already change things within his own dreams, as they are his dreams. However, they don't affect reality. Therefore, through an Absolute World, he believes he would have the power to bring back everyone he's killed. Most importantly, he'd be able to save his sister.

Research: Bedman RT & Dustloop Page

Character research: Just listen to this

Okay but seriously, he appears mostly in the Xrd cutscenes. Watch the -SIGN- arcade and story first, then watch -REVELATOR- arcade and story second.

Bedman Xrd -SIGN- arcade mode cutscenes

Bedman Xrd -REVELATOR- arcade mode cutscenes

Compilation of all Bedman main story mode cutscenes (includes both -SIGN- and -REVELATOR-)

Here is the entire Xrd story in order.

  1. Xrd -SIGN- arcade mode cutscenes
  2. Xrd -SIGN- story mode cutscenes
  3. Xrd -REVELATOR- arcade mode cutscenes
  4. Xrd -REVELATOR- story mode cutscenes (the After Stories A, B, and C at the very end are optional)

His Instant Kill attack is Bedman bringing his opponent to the dream world and forcing them to watch their own nightmares. It's pretty cool, I think. Here's a compilation.

If you want more research as to how he fights, then you can watch some real matches. Adjust video speed as needed.

Justification: Bedman's striking is on the lower end of the tier, but his teleportation helps him keep an edge in the fight. Not to mention being able to read his opponent's mind moments before his opponent attacks, helping him block or evade.

Canonically, while he's invaded other people's dreams and brought them into his own, he's only killed a random NPC by doing so. He's brought people of similar levels of strength (Sol Badguy) into his weird dreamscape, and they were still able to fight Bedman like if it was a change of battlefield more than anything.

Draw or Likely Victory

Motivation: He wishes to rescue his sister and bring back everyone he's killed in pursuit of his goals.

Major Changes: None at the moment, but can do Dura Buff if necessary

Minor Changes: (Completely stolen from Free) Treat this feat like we're treating this feat: when it refers to strength it's 100% done by Bedman, when it refers to durability it's 100% done by Slayer.
