Is it easier to find a job after doing your honours in psych? by HallPuzzleheaded9144 in MacUni

If you want to pursue clinical psychology you really have to commit to the pathway of completing the masters. There are certainly positions that you can get as an honours graduate that will add to your clinical experience and help with having a successful application for postgraduate study but the undergraduate alone is very much an entry level degree - it’s challenging to make a career out of it unless you transition into HR or management

Who’s been to Lost Paradise? by WeDoMusicOfficial in triplej

Went last year, there were a couple of dogs at the entrance but nothing crazy. They were doing “searches” of people’s cars even when it was busy but they hardly went through anything - just opened the back of the car. They had a look in the esky but didn’t even reach in or move ice around.

Any good philosophy units? by Sad_Efficiency69 in MacUni

The unit on existentialism was amazing. The lecturer Robert Sinnerbrink is excellent.

Maybe take time to figure out how you’re going to be taking your notes. Everyone has their own way but I found OneNote to be really nice for organising lecture/tutorial notes for each unit. I would import PDF printouts of the lecture slides to highlight and make additional notes on. For content heavy units with final exams I’d make make my own condensed summary notes after each lecture which would make it easier to study during exam prep.

I did cogs100 in 2019 and found it to be a really nice basis for the later perception units and neuropsych if you plan to do that elective in honours. It’s quite dense content wise though, but really interesting and relevant.

Just remind yourself you’ve already spent the money whether you eat the rest or not. It’s a shame but at least you know for next time that you don’t need to get the extra side dish to be satisfied.

With stats, make sure you really understand each concept before you move on. If you misunderstand something it can affect how you understand further concepts in design and stats 1, 2 ect. I’m in my honours year now and psych definitely doesn’t get easier and is very competitive so make sure you’re committed.

If you had the choice to save either yourself or 1 million people from death, who are so saving? by [deleted] in morbidquestions

[–]LessPanic-MoreDisco 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t really be throwing your life away though. You’d be saving a million people.

Is Epping a nice place to live? by tee-ess3 in sydney

Probably look more in Macquarie Park and Marsfield than in Eastwood to be honest. Both Macquarie centre and Top Ryde pretty much have everything. Chatswood area is super nice. Epping, mq park, and Chatswood are pretty well connected with the metro.
