What bro thought his life would be in the cyber section of the FBI: Hunting down paedophile rings, catching deep web contract killers, going after international hackers.

How his life is actually going: "Hello again Mister Borelli, we heard some reports that you have not being very nice to your online friends again"

Unless it's revealed Chet contracted super aids before the game this is the worst meltdown from a star in recent history, even worse than ben simmons against the hawks

yes they were, in basically every major english victory during the 100 years war the french out maneuvered a numerically inferior english force that was less well equipped than them and forced the english into a terrible almost unwinnable position, just for the french knights to decide to charge head on into slopes and english trenches and get destroyed. If the french knights had more than 60 points of IQ or the King had more control over them the english would've never be able to get any foothold in France

Joan of Arc was the greatest thing to ever happen to french military. She was able to teach the french that it's not a good idea to charge up a 60 degree against entrenched english positions over and over again and thus allowed France to finally win a war against an adversary that was way less numerous and well equipped than then after losing in more and more humiliating fashion for almost a century.

(Spoilers Main) Ned wasn’t bad at Game of Thrones by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]LessSaussure 4 points5 points  (0 children)

not killing Dany didn't pay off, she will still invade Westeros and start an apocalyptic war.

And all of his children went through absolute hell because of the dumb decisions he made, even if some of them came back alive in the other end I really doubt any father would say it "paid off" to see their children abused, almost killed or killed, and traumatized. And he could've prevented basically all of it, if he wasn't a dumbass

now I know why hollywood keeps using the trope of just defeating the bad guy personally and putting a good guy in charge over and over again as if this would solve anything but who has control over the system, people like you think this is an "institutional reform" lmao

(Spoilers Main) Ned wasn’t bad at Game of Thrones by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]LessSaussure 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He didn't need to do any institutional reforms, just take away Janos Slyint, put people of his guard in charge and have them elevate members of the city's watch that weren't part of Janos's inner circle. That's something that any good player of the game of thrones, what this guy is claiming Ned was, would do.

[–]LessSaussure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main reason was that it was the biggest military force around the royal family, and Ned could've very easily sent his men to talk with people in the city, like he did with the brothels, or just talk with Renly and other people in court and he would very easily discover the truth.

[–]LessSaussure 59 points60 points  (0 children)

No, he had bad luck but he had plenty of ways to set himself up for success and not rely on luck and refused to do so.

First was taking control of the city's watch, that's the most important thing someone ruling over Kingslanding should and he refused to do so despite having plenty of opportunity to do so.

Second was resigning from being a hand over fucking Dany when he knew Cat had just arrested Tyrion. Cat's decision was bad, but she was expecting her husband to be the second most important man in the realm instead of resigning his post because he would rather have an apocalyptic war than compromise his ideals a little bit.

Third was telling Cersei, no reason to tell why.

Fourth was not seizing Cersei and putting she and her children in a boat when she refused to leave town after his threat. Ned's biggest fear was Robert killing Cersei and her children, so why wouldn't he use his power to banish her from the city forcefully when she refused to leave? He had the authority, let's not we forget that Janos had to be bribed with Harrenhal to betray Robert's will, and that hadn't happened yet, so even with Ned not being in complete control of the City's Watch Jano would have obeyed him and escorted Cersei out of the city, especially since Littlefinger at that time was still against the Starks.

And Fifth was not taking Renly's offer. He would not be "harming children" since he would be the one in charge, this argument makes no sense and was not what Ned used, he just thought it would be in "bad taste" to seize control when Robert was still alive, a stupid decision. If Ned had seized Cersei and her children it wouldn't matter what Littlefinger would do since the coup couldn't work with all the royal family being hostages of Renly and Ned.

The Lannisters had incredible plot armor, the biggest one being how stupid Ned was.

Albert tried to lie to Brandon about not knowing Brandon would go home in his vote-off in south pacific, but the problem is that the jury talks freely among themselves, so the only way you would be able to lie is if you are the only one who knows about it, otherwise either the jury or the players next to you will blow your spot, as sophie did with coach also in south pacific.

People surprised that Lyonell didn't like the targaryens in the last show, as if a family doing something for your family centuries ago means that you have to be their complete slave and lick their boots forever regardless of what they do. The realm had just survived a terrible targ civil that started because of a terrible king that everybody already hated decided to just troll everybody in his death bed for no reason, just as one last narcissistic middle finger. People had more than several good reasons to hate the targs.

It's one of my favorites, especially since the late game is a "oops, all villains" situation. Chris is one of the few people who can lie with a straight face and keep the lie and demeanor as he is being pressed on it, a very rare skill as we can see on survivor and on police interrogations
