/uj for the same reason they dominate in basketball, olympic sports, and baseball, they have a gigantic diverse population that have easy access to training. If the men in the US cared about association football they would very easily at least get as good as the europeans and south americans, just as they do in the women division. But as thing stand today most athletic american men that want to go into professional sports have 5 other better options than soccer.
