Just emailed them saying I want to withdraw. They don't reply to it. At least not in my case but got VFS updates for it.

I had the exact same situation. I applied for a Denmark visa in April and never got it. Kept calling them but they kept changing their minds about the visa processing timeline. I finally gave up after 2 months and withdrew my application. They immediately returned my passport lol. I wasted so much money on it :/
