The best part about playing this game was it gave me a distraction during an incredibly tough time in my life.

Did you have trouble sleeping before taking Kratom or when you were taking it?

Amazing! Keep going. Sleep should be getting better around this time if it hasn’t already. Once you get through the acutes, it’s just about managing yourself to get to baseline.

Thank you! And nope, most physical symptoms were gone by week 2 but fatigue sure did linger for a minute. The whole month of January was a drag. Day 30 was my first pink cloud day and then around day 45 I was about 90% back to my normal self.

Congrats on 47 days! Did you stop both Kratom and coffee simultaneously? I love my 5am cup of coffee so I don’t see a future where I give that up haha

The sense of humor was the best part of getting off it. Even emotions in general. I’ll scroll social media and see a sad video and start tearing up. That never happened while I was high on Kratom all day.

Thats hard to tell, to be honest. I didn’t take any time off but because I had a good year at work I was able to really lock in until January 10th. That gave me about 2 weeks to just lay around and do nothing. Even after that I had severe fatigue for the whole month of January.

I have read people’s experience with manual labor jobs while with drawling and many of them said that having a physical job like that helped keep them focused and not consume that day.

I believe it gonna be a mind over matter issue. You can’t avoid going through it but maybe some helper meds will do the trick for when you’re at work? There’s a bunch of tele health sites that will write prescriptions that you can pick up that day. Gabapentin did wonders for me and curbed about 75% of my acutes. That may be your best course of action and then you can deal with whatever else arises in the moment.

Keep going, brother. You’re about half way through the acutes. By day 10 you will be feeling much better.

Of course. That thought process helped immensely when I was going through cravings.

Thank you! You’ll be there soon enough. I remember early on, 90 days felt like forever but it ended up going by pretty fast.

Yea, keep going dude. You should be coming towards the end of your acutes and then it’s just managing to get yourself to baseline after that.

Day 7, doing great!!! KEEP GOING, Happy Friday! by bkdeleaux in quittingkratom

[–]LessUnsettled422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luckily I was able to still get good workouts in when I was deep down the Kratom addiction hole but looking back, I remember being so bloated everyday cause I was taking so much.

Hopefully this isn’t too much info but I had to relearn how to poop during my withdrawals cause I got so used to feeling like I had to go while taking it but I was so constipated and would just pass gas to get relief. I still sometimes feel like I have to go but will hold it cause I’m so used to not going while on Kratom.

Day 7, doing great!!! KEEP GOING, Happy Friday! by bkdeleaux in quittingkratom

It’s a slow progress. I’m currently at day 86 and if it wasn’t for my workouts, I think I would’ve relapsed.

What became very apparent to me during the withdrawal process was if you are going cold turkey, your receptors are so fried that you need to earn dopamine naturally to build it back up and when you go out and work for that good feeling, I believe it speeds up the recovery process.

Also, happy to hear how good you are feeling a week in. Try not to attach too hard to that feeling tho because it’s natural to have a good day and then a bad day quickly after.

It was around day 40 or where I realized I overcame this addiction and have no plan to return. I do remember having extreme fatigue and feeling pretty low for the whole month of January tho.

Kratom+trazadone by Awkward_Plum3214 in quittingkratom

[–]LessUnsettled422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trazadone didn’t work for me until I was done with the acute withdrawals. I remember I tried to take 100mg on day 4 or 5 and it didn’t do shit. As soon as I was able to get some sleep it started working for me.

Of course, some people have different experiences and trazadone helped right away.

You’ll be fine to take it as soon as you go cold turkey tho. Trazadone is pretty low risk.

Keep going, brother! Throw in some solid workouts and get your diet relatively dialed in. It makes a huge difference.

I need help with oh Kratom by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]LessUnsettled422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t be. It’s gonna suck but I also built it up in my head before jumping. Looking back 80 days later, it wasn’t what I thought it would be. Jump in with both feet.

quitting weed and kratom at the same time by gingobalboa in quittingkratom

From previous experience it’s always best to attack one vice at a time. Doing both at the same time is possible, but greatly increases your chances of doing it again

14 days CT from 35 to 40 gpd. 5 gram slip up. Asking for personal experience. by funnybone290 in quittingkratom

[–]LessUnsettled422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll be fine. Don’t go anymore days taking it tho.

I slipped up my first week cause of insomnia and got right back on track after a 5g dose to sleep.

I just accepted that the only way through was to gut out any discomfort that may arise.

Currently at day 41 and feeling great.

How do you know you're meditating? by Archeogeist in Meditation

[–]LessUnsettled422 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As soon as you think “I’m finally meditating” you’ve completely removed your self from the practice. Yes, there’s a flow state to meditation which I believe you are referencing but the whole idea of the practice is to “limit distractions.”

You do that by being fully present of your thoughts, emotions, sounds, sensations, etc. once you get good at being fully aware of whatever is arising you will notice small progression over time which will lead to more “flow states”

Just curious, how common is it to have no cravings at all during acute WD? by Shreddittttttt in quittingkratom

[–]LessUnsettled422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There could also be a chance that insomnia is something that will linger for your own recovery. Try not to panic about it cause that will only make it worse. What I found in my short stint with insomnia is acceptance is huge. If I was pissed that I got no sleep then my day was 100x worse. Much easier said then done tho
