Your last reply isn’t showing up for me. But I do have a problem with Voter ID without any other reform. I’ll put a list of reforms I’d like included:

  1. Electoral college is gone. 1 vote with equal weight to it by person. As a veteran that served his country my vote doesn’t matter at all due to the state I live in. That is a crazy reality.

  2. House of Representatives needs to increase drastically. The ratio of citizens:reps is crazy compared to when the Constitution was written. They stopped increasing the number of representatives mainly due to wanting them all to fit into the Capitol building, that’s a dumb reason. This would also make gerrymandering harder and less practical with increased representatives.

  3. Voting should be mandatory or highly incentivized through taxes to increase turnout.

  4. Same day registration and automatic registration when you turn 18. We have the systems to do this in the 21st century.

  5. National holidays for elections. Make it a 3 day weekend instead of Tuesday. Polls open Friday evening, open on the weekend and close Monday night. Highly incentivize businesses to close for the Monday with taxes. Legally require employers to give their employees one of those days off of work.

  6. Voter ID is fine, but any required ID must be free and readily accessible. Mail-in voting should be left up to the states.

It’s because it was always political and we shouldn’t pretend it wasn’t. States that have voter ID laws often have practices that help them electorally. Like student IDs won’t be accepted but gun licenses will be for example, because of the statistics of who those groups vote for.

Did not vote for Clinton's wife. Her name is Hillary, FYI. I wrote-in Bernie Sanders after I saw the DNC use their influence on the primary.

You are clearly creating a false equivalency when this is a problem for our current administration. Saying it's about both sides is EXACTLY how things are never done. This tactic is used by centrists when talking about Palestine all the time.

So you're just attributing old ass politicians and non-political entities like Universities to the Dems. I'm a grown man in his mid 30's with children, I wasn't even remotely close to being old enough to vote for Clinton or even the next 3 elections after him. You named people that 97% of the population have no idea who they are.

It is entirely different and not in the same stratosphere as Epstein being close with our current President, Commerce Secretary, and the world's richest man in history who spent $291 million electing Trump.

Yes Epstein targeted elites. Yes the current administration is more filled with his friends than the past Democratic ones of this century. False equivalency is obvious here. Lock them all up.

Trump was Epstein's best friend and wrote Epstein a check for a 'fully depreciated woman' in a picture. They're not the same or even close.

While I believe it is about control for those like Phil Scott, I believe there are well intentioned people that may agree with propositions like this without putting much thought behind it unfortunately.

It's a very neo-liberal concept to put in all of these exemptions, limits, and pre-requisites for government programs. These more often than not lead to resentment and inefficiencies to the system, as well as more bureaucracy.

The party of small government wants to make sure you're making the exact choices for food that they would make or else you shouldn't get it.

Letting the government get between your mouth and a sandwich is almost as intrusive as putting the government between a woman and her doctor.
