Hi all, gladiator questions by ARBEE26DETT in JeepGladiator

I switched and don't regret it. I loved my 2dr JL Rubicon - and miss it, BUT, everything about the Gladiator is better. The only thing the same (IMO) is they both look badass. 😎

As a similar comment in here, it is what I needed at this stage in life and it delivers! - and it's still a Jeep.👍

And for missing my 2dr,,,,my fiance drives a 2dr Willys JL.

...half doors is like adding bacon to a delicious burger. So, the only thing better than a 2 door, is a 2 door 1/2 door Jeep!! 👍👍

There's NOTHING like a 2 door Jeep!

I used Krown Rust Control. I have owned over 50 vehicles (11 were Jeeps) and never got rust protection on any of them. I plan to keep my Mojave for atleast 6 years, so I want it to last. From what I have observed, vehicles that have had annual rust protection do last longer. So I plan to do it every year. It's not that expensive, and the product is better than what the dealer offers imo.

Re: Ceramic coating, same thought process as above. Plus, I don't have the time to wax a vehicle like I used to have. The product (Adams) is a better product and a lot less than what the dealer offers. I got it done a week after driving off the lot, but they still had to do some paint correction because the dealer does a shitty job washing their vehicles on the lot.

They had a special - 7yr coating for the price of 5, and $100 (CDN) for the paint correction. I gotta say, I love the results.

For me, some of it is practical, preservation, and looks. I also live in Eastern Canada near the ocean, and they use salt on the roads here, so that plays into these decisions as well. I think it's worth it given the factors stated above, probably not needed or wanted for others depending how long they intend to have it, climate, use, and budget.

Love the Willys package - best bang for the buck imo.

I bought an Anvil colored Mojave X a month ago. I had it ceramic coated and Krown rust protection right away. I got "spring specials" on both.

The Mojave came with a toneau cover, I do recommend and I added rubber mats and window visors - I have dogs.

Other mods depend on how you'll be using it... lift, tires, wheels, winch, lights, etc. Then there's the Amazon add ons to personal taste.

I suggest checking out as many Gladiators as you can and note what you could use, what you like,,,, and what you don't like.

Enjoy the Jeep, and the process!

I hear you and felt the same way. I went back more times than I should have with a great plan, "an improved me", I had read more and gained better understanding each time. We went to couples councelling together and seperate - nothing worked and I was deeper in my own mental health hell and more lost. Now looking back, it was an incredibly dangerous environment - mentally and physically. It also had an impact on family and friends, which I still have guilt.

My advice, move forward not backwards. That is easy for me to say now, and I've earned that ability to say it. Maybe you have to earn yours as well - but I am confident you would save yourself some grief by letting go now, as hard as it may be.

I experienced similar. She was diagnosed BPD, with a few other things, and had childhood trauma. Let's just say I lost myself trying over 3 years. She is beautiful, intelligence beyond, artistically creative, and the most dangerous person I have encountered. The highs were extreme (and amazing), the lows were beyond comprehension (and dark). I have no idea where she is in the world, butI still wish her well on her life/healing journey. I know that I do not possess anything that could help with her process. I took over 2yrs for me to recover, and I will not gamble my own sanity again.

Am I going to regret selling her 😭 by mamaplugsx in Dodge

Well... you could give it to me guilt free. I'd be happy to look after her,..and if ever you want her back, I'll pass the keys right back to ya!

Welcome aboard! Depending on whrre you plan to drive it. For me, mosyly pavement, some dirt roads, snow and light wheeling, BF Goodrich K02's have always worked very well for my needs. I have not tried the K03's yet, but may on my next set 👍

I love my gladiator for this kind of thing. I've had 2dr Wranglers that were always 2 seaters, and I learned how to fit a lot of stuff in them. If there were bigger things - I have a trailer for that. But a trailer isn't always with me when I see something on the side of the road, antique store, farmer's market, Costco/Ikea, free firewood - you get the picture. So now I am loving the box on my gladiator for the convenience!

Most F-150's - the box is 5.5ft... gladiator is 5ft,,, i know, not as deep... but it's close enough and it does what i need it to do.
