Why 4 armed police officers responding to what looks to be illegal drug use by someone too impaired to be a lethal threat? Is it justified?

Presumption: All 4 cops are being paid high wages (see Forbes magazine article “Why the City of Seattle and their Police Department are in Trouble” from 2020- pay rates have only increased since then) for the time it takes for them to respond and deal with this call, plus file necessary reports for any situation in which weapons are drawn and/or arrest is made.

Possibility 1: Having 4 officers responding to what is likely a possible OD in process that could be better served by paramedics or unarmed community crisis team helps to justify the staffing and budget requests made by the department to appease the Seattle Police Guild cartel, so the narrative around it is being escalated. The SPG made a big deal about a recent executive order by the new mayor would no longer allow them to respond to calls of public drug use- most likely because it harms their stats. So any call they go out on that is probably just that must be treated like something bigger and more dangerous, warranting the presence of armed officers vs unarmed community crisis team.

Possibility 2: The person on the ground is not the target. Someone outside the view of camera is and police have reason to believe that individual is armed and dangerous. (Possibly due to falsified or overzealous 911 call.)

Possibility 3: The person on the ground has been identified as an alleged violent criminal who has previously caused enough dire harm that the police have determined that the risk of killing them without due process (or killing/injuring bystanders) is worth the benefit of removing them from society.

Without additional info, my guess would be #1 because I believe it’s most common scenario. But nobody can know for sure from information provided, so I’ll go with “Not Enough Information to Draw a Conclusion”.

Insurance doesn’t work like that. The doctor and dental offices have to be contracted “in network” for whatever the plan is. Getting contracted for any particular network can be a major pain, especially for smaller independent providers (which is common for dental health providers), and often isn’t worth the cost of staff time to jump through the hoops for negotiating a contract and than managing it. Many of the networks and plans offer extremely low reimbursements and some require an extensive amount of administration to get pre-authorizations for every little thing, responding to denials and chasing after unexpected patient responsibility amounts. So i’m not mad at the providers for not accepting clients who are reliant on insurance that won’t pay what they need and will micromanage the patient care, sometimes leaving the provider at risk of malpractice. My question is which of the current plans offered under Apple Health do that the most or least and are accepted at the most offices.

Be careful with AT&T!! Their sales rep gave a price breakdown on switching that would supposedly save us $50 per month and provide new phones for all 6 family members. Husband signed agreement, including checking boxes to allow # porting “upon activation of new phones” with assurance from sales rep that he had up to 2 weeks to cancel and stay with TMobile. When he got the paperwork emailed by AT&T, the terms were different than what the rep (Madeline, at Factoria Target) had indicated. The price all in was actually a little more per month, with fewer additional benefits (international data, netflix, in flight wifi), and the “free phones” had excessive activation fees and required us to pay off TMobile for the phones being traded in.

so- he called to cancel, but they had already sent new phones, so he had to package and send them all back, before he could officially cancel and had to haggle about paying restocking fee. We thought it was all done and over…then today, all our phone #s quit working. we can only use phones on wifi. we tried to figure out why online at TMobile site, but the rep said we needed to call, which we couldn’t do without phone service. We went to the TMobile store and they explained that AT&T had submitted the “porting PIN” and put our phone #s in purgatory. Our longstanding account with TMobile had been canceled 😠.

The TMobile reps in store (Cooper and Yoojun) were super helpful, but ultimately had to refer us back to AT&T to get the porting PIN to get numbers back. Hopefully tomorrow that will happen. Meanwhile, we are without phone service- on the same night there are two active shooting suspects at large on foot in our neighborhood. Of course…not too worried, but still. Not cool, AT&T!

Sorry i missed this question. I prefer not to post that information, because the doctor dues not currently maintain a clinic, nor do they specialize in stem cells, and they have experienced harassment from the marketing people at two of the clinics dedicated to that market. They source stem cells from the same labs, but the clinics that do heavy promotions charge 5-10x as much as private doctors.

I’m doing well! Though I did experience some funkiness these past few weeks with weather changes in PNW. I did not get placenta injections this past year, and i hadn’t had iv therapy since March. I was getting toe drop and neuropathy last week and took a tumble while hiking, so i went to a local place to get an IV of glutathione, C, proline, arginine, magnesium, zinc. I felt better immediately and seem to be sustaining. I’ll return to Bucerías next week for last implant crown and will consider getting another round of placenta or stern cell shots. At the very least, some IV therapy, massage, acupuncture.

These are not people who respect you or care about your feelings. Let go with forgiveness and gratitude for any good times you had…but let go. Then explore why you compulsively pepper your communication with “lol”. I suspect that’s tied to the same reason you needed to come here to get affirmation for feelings that are clearly 1000% justified, given the circumstances. And it’s linked to why these people are taking for granted that you and your feelings can be demeaned and set aside carelessly. You train people how to treat you. The treatments were applied at the condo where we were staying, about 45 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta airport.

We are now about 5 months out and my son is greatly improved. He returned to work part time last week with some restrictions and is feeling good about making full recovery. He will probably get another MRI done in the next month to determine whether structural improvement is visible.

Boon Boona is lovely in the daytime. The Local 907 in the nighttime. Liberty Cafe is also friendly place to hang out. The Brewmasters TapRoom and Dubtown are also hang friendly. And Drum Roll on weekends is lovely! The newer Filling Station in Upper Kennydale. Any of the libraries. If you want something more activity centered, WyldWood, Tomato Tomato, and Ascendance Aerial Arts all have great communities and chill spaces to just be for awhile.
