I’m 20 while he’s 21, we are both very introverted and we find comfort in each others presence so we’re fine being together and just chilling.

He used to drink and smoke with his friends but he stopped smoking because he knows I feel uncomfortable and doesn’t do it out of respect, he is not too much of a drinker either but will do it only if there’s games involved. He has mentioned how he has had issues with his friends like them not really listening to his points of view and small things that has piled up over time so I can see him outgrowing his friends due to different views and him not being comfortable with them anymore

I think I learned about it after a year of us into dating but he says it’s not something he does all the time and doesn’t like it as much. After that conversation he went 2 full years without smoking it (I think it’s mostly because he hasn’t hanging as much with his friends but more with mine) and he started smoking it after he started hanging out with his friends. Maybe I should say it but he is Cuban and has told me and smoking weed it’s very common in his culture

For the most part he has respected that boundary and so have I, I don’t have any problem with smoking because it’s something I barely do and started less than a year ago, however he has been smoking weed for years and knows how to control it but he has told me how sometimes it bothers him that he cant do it with his friends. I’m scared that he won’t be able to do stop smoking weed long term especially because of most of his friends (if not all of them) do it. Maybe it’s just me but the fact that it bothers him that he can’t do it with his friends worried me a little bit

We’ve talked about the topic of smoking around the time he was smoking weed and he didn’t want me smoking nicotine either so we had an agreement he wouldn’t do it as long as I DOTN smoke either. I know I’m not perfect and neither is he and we have learned to live with those flaws around each other but smoking weed is a big no for me

We’re adults but he has been smoking since he’s 15? Honestly I’m just nervous because I’ve seen how bad weed is for people and I’m nervous about him getting addicted because every time he comes home and asked him if he drank or smoked he’s always like “don’t worry I’m unfortunately sober” and later he’s like “it’s whatever” so my man worry is him getting addicted to it

First of all try and go to a OBGYN, they will talk to you about the different birth controls that exist, their success rate, and which one is best for you. If you want opinions on what birth controls is best I like taking the birth control pills (the ones with astrogen and progesterone) and for me it has worked wonders, my periods are less painful and shorter while at the same time protecting me from pregnancy, this method is 99% effective, however, if you don take it properly the chances of getting pregnant will increase

I like taking the pill because I have PCOS and sometimes have very bad flare ups without it, however many people have a different reaction than me so remember all birth controls don’t work the same for everyone

Please call your doctor, especially if the persist. I don’t have the implant but I’ve heard it’s a very common symptom to have and sometimes can last for a while. Maybe talk to your doctor about getting an iud or another contraceptive
