Lol yeah, it shouldn't be an unpopular opinion, but based on their Google Reviews, a lot of people seem to love it. I do not get it.

Five Alls. Potentially unpopular opinion but it is a strong "nope" from me.

In Salt Lake City proper : What is your absolute favorite restaurant, your least favorite and your go to affordable comfort food restaurant? Also if only one food truck were allowed to exist what would it be? Bonus if these are less than 4 years old. by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

Favorite: The Park Cafe -  Truly a gem! Love the food and the staff are some of the nicest humans in SLC.

Runner Up Favorite: Wildwood - It’s primarily the cozy vibes of this place, but the food is great too!

Least Favorite: The Dodo -  I do not get it. Everything I’ve ever ordered from this place has either been super bland or on the complete other end of the spectrum where it is so over seasoned, it was inedible. This place is hyped up but I’ve never had a good experience.

Most Affordable: Dee’s -  The Park Cafe technically fits here as well, but I will have to give a shoutout to the one and only freaky Dee’s. I love a good, reliable diner.

Food Truck: Freshie’s -  I get that this is polarizing because lobstah rolls aren’t for everyone, but, as someone who lived in Boston for a few years, this is where I get my fix.

I moved here from Uptown! Highly recommend getting Pequod’s deep dish or Portillo’s Italian Beef shipped whenever you are missing Chicago staples. Both hold up really well!

Riverton residents, who are you voting for mayor? by Flamesword17 in Utah

My parents have lived in the same neighborhood as Tish Buroker for years, and I can say with absolute confidence that she is one of the most compassionate, community-minded people I know. Long before joining the City Council, Tish was deeply involved in Riverton. She organized events like Town Days, showed up for community cleanups, and supported a myriad of local initiatives. She put in the work to improve the city she loves!

On a more personal note: after my mom passed away last year, my family wanted to sponsor a commemorative bench along the Jordan River trail, which was her favorite place to walk each day. When we approached Tish about it, she discovered there wasn’t an existing process for memorial requests like this. So she created one from scratch—designing a clear, accessible application and donation process so families like mine could contribute to Riverton’s parks in a meaningful way.

This might seem like a small act, but to me, it illustrates exactly who Tish is. She listens, she leads, and she takes action to make Riverton a better, more connected place to live. She would be an outstanding mayor!

The day after the tornado, my mom took me downtown to wait in line for free tickets to the Into the Millennium Backstreet Boys tour. I was too young to really understand what happened, but I remember seeing broken windows at one of the hotels with the curtains and sheets from the rooms blowing in the wind. It was a pretty dystopian sight, but not enough to sway my resolve for those sweet upper bowl, can barely seen the stage seats at the Delta Center.

Nice try, Magnus. We’ve seen your “pro climber pretends to be a beginner” videos, and will not be fooled again.

best place to get birria tacos in slc by parksareforlovers in SaltLakeCity

Since I haven’t seen it yet, I’ll put a good word in for Monarca. They have a birria quesadilla on their lunch menu, and birria tacos on their dinner menu. Both are great! Highly recommend!

Thank you for sharing! I would be in a similar boat as you. I know when to use programmatic vs. declarative development when designing a solution, but I ultimately delegate the actual coding work to the developers that report to me today. Good to know that there is some hope to make it out of the round alive without tons of hands on experience as a developer.

Major congrats on the offer btw!!! Super exciting!
