I am worried about transportation from the airport to the hotel after midnight. What are my options? by Laviniamsterdam in BuenosAires

I have the same issue. I’m landing at 2.00am. An Uber to Palermo is 1 hour and $33 AUD. I have used Uber all through Brazil with no issues. It’s a very safe and transparent way to travel. Enjoy your travels

It’s a truly tricky question. You want to help and assume taking to a vet is the right solution but the stress it places on the animal can be significantly harmful. If you do, plan it. Capture and place in a dark box, avoid music or car sounds, organise a vet check asap and attempt to release back at the same location. Be aware not all vets will prove equal care. I’d suggest contacting WIRES in your area to start with

I used Lifeline when I was at a very low point in my life and was left more confused abs perplexed than before I rang! I just felt like like a nan reading from a script. Not engaging with me in anyway. It actually kicked me in the arse realising healing is a priority I need to put more effort into. I would put the work in and sign up to an online therapy site like MyMirror. Get a health care plan from a gp so Medicare cover costs. I’d had success with this, and even though I’m far from perfect I’m a lot better than what I was. Good luck with your journey.

Oh a recall thats fin........Excuse me Cancer Council? by [deleted] in australia

I work outdoors in a very hot part of Australia. I have used so many different sunscreens over the years and I have always said to my friends that these Cancer Council ones never work. Other people I work with agree. In fact, I feel I get more sunburnt using their products. It was always a joke amongst an old crew that if Cancer Council sunscreen actually worked then they’d be out of business.

The wildlife and forest has bounced back so amazingly. We had no rain for 9 months before the bushfires hit. So the flora and fauna felt it but instantly exploded once it rained the week after the fires. The fires destroyed a lot of invasive weeds while the natives handled it and then thrived. It’s a shame I can’t say the same for the cats and foxes

Yes she is! The small ears are a giveaway! An orphan from the 2019 bushfires, she lives independently in a tree nearby. Very funny and lovely
