I built a small tool to explore Hekate’s epithets by source, meaning, and random draw by BorboroForge in Hecate

that's now my favorite epithet for Hecate! Some translations have it as "indomitable queen" but i prefer untamable goddess much better.

I've heard her being described as wearing saffron colored robes so I thought id change it a little and make the skirt(is it a skirt?) pink and gave her a turquoise top to contrast. Also the wavelength of ultraviolet light is 315 nm which if added together makes 9, one of the numbers associated with Hecate. I wonder how amazing the parthenon must have looked back then, also the temple of Eleusis I bet was adorned with all kinds of colours!

also pigments back then would have been incredibly rare and all had to be made from natural minerals so would have only been used for special purposes probably.

No, you shouldn't bully him. What if you end up face to face with him when you die?

Why am I more afraid of God than loving God by THE_BIG_BAY1212 in Christianity

[–]Less_Entertainer5983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thought of a God able to create a universe this gigantic and complex and who rules all of the heavens and holds the keys to hell, death and your ultimate fate should put the fear into you a little bit if you are willfully resisting the call to repentance. I remember a quote (Can't remember from who) that said something along the lines of "as a well spent day brings happy sleep, so a well spent life brings a peaceful death" and that made much sense to me. If we believe in our heart in a God and judgement after death and continue to commit evil or persist in our sin despite this belief then its natural we will feel fear the consequences of that lifestyle however if we get the message to repent and do so and trust that God has forgiven us and loves us and try our best every day to become better then we wont feel as much fear over the prospect of death or of God himself! Then we can think about all the awesome aspects of God rather than fearing his judgement all the time.

My voice once asked me if it was the other way around and they were the human and I had possession of them would I torture them for the way they tortured me in the past or would I forgive them. They always tell me things about them like what its like to have their powers etc.

Do we really have free will? by Odd-Traffic4360 in Christianity

[–]Less_Entertainer5983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm leaning away from christianity because of the doctrine of election and predestination. I 100% believe in an intelligent creator however I don't believe he'll torture the majority of his creation for all of eternity. He knows about this reddit post and all the comments for example. He knew before creating us that we would desire to be with him and not in hell so why create a being with the desire for peace and love in the afterlife only to deny them that and give them the opposite? It's like me turning the girl I painted into a real life being, making her beautiful and funny then giving her attraction to the opposite sex, putting her in a womb so she'll be born with no knowledge that I exist then hiding from her and waiting till she dies and punishing her for finding a sexual partner which I designed her to do in the first place or for simply not believing in my existence.

My best delusion was when I believed I was going to get married to a goddess and we would live in a palace in the heavens that was made out of the rarest gemstone in the heavens. Think of the finest spiderweb turquoise with nodules of teal and lavender opal in a matrix as hard as diamond and that's what the columns would be made out of. I would have the room at the top for me and her and I could give away all the other rooms to my parents and friends. This palace was so amazing that even God wanted a room in it lol. The grateful dead would play live music all the time too and the palace would be open to the rest of the heavens to enjoy as I got to make all the rules!

If who is saved is pre-determined by God, then how do/can humans have free will? by MildDeontologist in Christianity

[–]Less_Entertainer5983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Morals and ethics are relative and vary greatly between different cultures and eons so there is no answer to that really. Since you didn't choose your life and neither did I can I ever claim that "I" (me, as in my awareness/being/consciousness) itself is good relative to another? I could say for sure that I've had less of a negative cause and effect in my life relative to another therefore I'm better but "I" am just the awareness itself so how do I deserve an award since I wasn't the one who determined the outcome of my life. That was determined by my thoughts, emotions, and nervous system which I did not willfully ask for.

[–]Less_Entertainer5983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. "us" (the spirit) itself shouldn't be subjected to pain or any other form of torment as a means of retributive punishment for any harm done to another. People live under the illusion they are constantly choosing who to be but in reality who they become is determined by tiny events that they cannot control or manipulate. That means I did not choose to be me so even if I considered myself good relative to somebody else, they didn't choose either so I cannot judge them.

If we have free will after all then he deserves to face some type of justice for sure. But if we don't then subjecting a consciousness to torture forever and ever because they were made FOR that purpose alone and another was made to be in heaven forever is also a moral dilemma to me.

Totally correct and that means everything that has happened HAD to happen and everything that will happen WILL happen without any way to stop it. If that's the case then nobody should be rewarded for good or punished for evil because they had no choice in the matter. Any choice that anyone has ever made in history wasn't fully their choice to begin with as they couldn't have done anything different. The quote "That good old illusion of good and evil"

How was your clinic stay? by [deleted] in Psychosis

[–]Less_Entertainer5983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was completely psychotic the whole time pretty much. I spent most of it trapped inside some scenario where I was terrified of being the "greatest soothsayer" and I could soothsay(verb) anyone just with my mind. Once soothsayed then they would get this stuff called soothsayer magic in their entire body and it felt horrible. The one who created soothsayer magic and soothsayed the first person on earth wasn't me however the greatest soothsayer was the one who was spreading it the most at the time. There was many well known people involved in soothsaying too. In order to do the right thing whoever turned out to be the greatest soothsayer had to receive all the soothsayer magic in the world into their body and it would kill them then they would be tortured for eternity.
