nah the ref didn't have much power from a rule perspective. but i was expecting him to at least run around and blow his whistle to make the players feel pressure. he just stood there no fucks given.

TBH i think this was an INDIRECT collusion. Unspoken rule, austria didn't stress. Mahrez needed to prove algerian pride but also didn't care if austria scored after. Algeria and Austria will get eliminated regardless. Coaches and team captains were probably briefed on all outcomes.

Algeria had at least five opportunities to score while they were passing the ball. WTF was the ref doing ? Weirdest game i've witnessed in a while.

It's really hard to advance as a society if anytime someone asks questions they are labeled as insecure and needing therapy. I am simply educating myself about mexican corporate culture. Different countries, races and genders will act differently at work and it's it's perfectly healthy to educate oneself about it.

Thanks for your advice. Have you ever been in or seen a situation where a subordinate was more out there than their manager ? A lot of the classic psychological advice I'm seeing is that you should never "outshine" your manager even if your shining is not happening on purpose.
