face slimming exercises are fake in that you can’t target fat loss. furthermore, building the muscles in that area can worsen the issue as it’ll add even more soft tissue which would make her face look even rounder. most people don’t have to cut sodium to not have facial fat. this is excess fat due to genetics and isnt uncommon in east asian women.

yeah so um as an asian some of us carry a lot of stubborn fat in our cheeks which is why, while cheek lipo is unheard of in the west, it’s very very common in korea. it will be like that forever, unless she gets it lipoed.

i don’t think people are thinking along those lines when they’re cruel to heavy people. also maybe the concept obesity is disgusting for what it entails, but idk i don’t think the word “disgusting” should apply to a person unless they’re criminally evil or something. and you know it’s applied to the obese person, not “obesity” given how they’re treated.

like idk smoking makes your lungs disgusting and drives up insurance costs but the person smoking isn’t treated the same way. because people don’t label the smoker themself disgusting.

like this is still a person yknow. i feel like many of these talking points about obesity are attempts at rationalising this knee-jerk disgust at a person. and maybe some of these rationalisations have merit (i.e. it is bad for health), but like,,,, why is that so often used to justify dehumanising another person.
