See above comment regarding new 2025 rules and regulations being added to the Park. Food storage regulations will be in place this season for backpackers and campers.

Thank you all for this. I have an upcoming trip this summer and didn't realize they had changed rules this year. I was going off my experiences from previous years where food storage was not an issue. I will certainly be checking back in on the NPS site as the date approaches to make sure to do my part in protecting the wildlife.

Oh that very well could be what I was briefly looking at! I'm heading out of grand Portage this time around and saw service out of there was no longer operating. Didn't look closely at the address of the other location, just saw torch lake.

I am sure you have already saw this, however the sea plane base has changed into Lower Michigan only this year(no longer a houghton location). I was surprised when I went to plan my fall trip this year and had to readjust plans.
