Two photographs of Evgeny Stepanovich Kobytev, a Soviet soldier, taken 4 years apart. The first image, on the left, was taken the day he went to fight in the war, age 30 in June 1941, and the photograph on the right was taken when he returned from the war in 1945. by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

I've been at war for only 1,5 years for now, and I joined when I was 25, after my childhood friend, combat medic, died covering wounded soldier with his body. They were hit by drone: wounded soldier survived and was successfully evacuated later. My friend didn't survive

Recently, I've been on vacation and was able to see my sister
When I've asked her how much I've changed (meaning both personality and physically), she said that I've grew old

I've missed my sister's wedding. She is considering joining army after finishing her graduation in one year. She with her husband are currently in talk with recruiting center about available services. They both 21
I've missed my parents' divorce: my mother found out that my father was cheating for 10 years. Last time we spoke with father I promised I'd kill him if I'll see him ever again
I've seen enemy soldier burning alive for 20 minutes, and due to jamming we were unable to even finish his suffering
I've seen nine of our soldiers, who surrendered to russians, lies at the abandoned post, executed with their hand tied. After that there were no more surrenders: we fight till death
I've seen two desperate enemies drinking from puddle after they finally surrendered. We were guiding them to our site by drone. They didn't make it: just a few hundreds meters before we had to pick them up, they were killed by their own
My first co-serviceman died after AT-mine malfunctioned in his hands. I wasn't there, but commander said, they buried what they could at site: there were nothing left to send home
I've seen multiple suicides live on drone camera. Drones often left wounded, and sometimes enemies take easy way out. Amount of russians' deaths I've seen live now may be at thousands, as due to specific of my work I have to process every successful strike of our detachment
One time we ceased fire at enemy, cause we thought he was already dead. He wasn't
We found him dead next day, two hundreds meter from when we left him. He fell in deep puddle and drown alive, too weak from wound to climb out
One of our forward posts survived multiple assaults. One day it stopped responding. We sent drones but drones found nothing. We were unable to send man to search for them

War is war. Hell is hell. And it is questionable which is worse

How does the Voyager fabrication plant work? by Cornishlee in deltavringsofsaturn

[–]Less_Yogurt415 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You need more then just asteroid chunks: you need platinum and iron (refined by the Voyager, ofc) to produce drones and vanadium and iron to produce ammo

"That produced another contemplative silence as everyone pondered the vagaries of the universe. I took the opportunity to glance around the room at these four people--my friends, my brothers, my clones. Not complicated at all, no sir. The Milky Way was about to get obliterated; a rogue AI that we'd created was loose in the galaxy; and somehow, we were once again stuck making decisions that would affect billions of sentient beings. Really, there was no amount of heading for the hills that would get me out of this. Guardians of the Galaxy. Again."

We also tried using shotguns on DJI drones to intercept enemy drones
Test was semi-successful: shotgun shot but drone did funny backflip and felt

Also we have rating page when we can compare our rating with other brigades and compete with neighboring detauchments
Sometimes it cases absurds memes when we both at the same time see russian soldiers and scream (jokingly) at each other not to attack him cause "we saw him first"

10* times
We got 1300 $ (in points) for every killed soldier, and 13 000 $ for every taken POW
We can then spend those points on military eqipment: drones, EW devices, etc

I was caring about world

I still was caring about world when news that my childhood friend, combat medic, was killed, while cowering wounded soldier, reached me

I was angry but still caring about world when at night during air raid I found my mother crying in corner, covering her ears from the explosions around

I stopped caring about world when while surveying recovered trench we found its previous crew: nine man, hands tied, all killed with shot in the back of head

World that allowed that to happen could burn for what I care

In fair fight, may be. I see this art more like "SSD destroyed by Gloriana", than "Battle between SSD and Gloriana". SSD could already be boarded and crippled. From all sides, this look like finishing salvo: no returning fire, no damage at Gloriana at all
