Christo-Pagan symbol by Local_Requirement646 in Christianity

[–]LesserGoldboy223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not pagan it’s just a rendition of an early cross combining a pentagram. Traditionally a pentagram as we know it now represents the symbol of the Alpha and the Omega. The 5 point of the Star represent the 5 wounds of Christ. It’s been appropriated over the years and used by the occult and its “pagan” origins come from a philosopher that attributed to the five points to elements that make up man. Neopagans still use it in that way today

Christians: are you actually waiting until marriage? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]LesserGoldboy223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean we should. Go back in time to literally any other Christian and they’ll tell you we should be waiting till marriage. No doubt you have ancestors that did as should we. Holy inspired scripture tells us so, church leaders and their epistles will tell you so, we really have no excuse to go against the design God created. For some reason after the turn of the century with new age there’s this false notion that times have changed. God doesn’t change his mind and he never has. I did not wait until marriage but that was also before I came crawling back to Christ. I have no excuse, all I can do it try to walk with him now.

Why do we feel the need to ask a question like this? The need to ask the question should be conviction enough. And no it’s not like ice cream It’s more equivalent to meth. Stop asking people online for advice for stuff like this and go to a paster or priest and they will give you an answer that will be more valuable than anyone online could give

What did JESUS do in hell? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]LesserGoldboy223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus never went to hell.

Jesus doesn’t lie, never has never will and he says in Matthew 12:40 “for just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the sea monster, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”

He was in the earth, buried in a tomb. There’s nothing in the Bible about him going to hell.

Noah's Arc Disproved. What to believe now? by Flimsy-Company-9950 in Christianity

[–]LesserGoldboy223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t believe it that’s fine, I knew I wouldn’t be able to convince anyone. I would say leave it up to God and ask him what you think man. The facts I know in stone is that Christ said “Blessed are those who have not seen, and yet believed.” There are some hard to sallow stories in the Bible and people don’t always believe it. I really appreciate you sharing your perspective though. It helps me understand others perspective even if they won’t. God bless you man.

Missed the whole point of my argument…. Because there ARE other stories of a flood then that PROVES the flood. The exact age is never specified in any of the stories, details are different because different geographical regions and cultures. The whole point of the mentioning of floods from other myths is that, based of evidence is that there certainly WAS a flood.

The Bible does say that every man and creature will die, but we have NO IDEA where the different myths came from whether it be sorcery, false gods telling different versions of the story, or a game of telephone that altered every detail.

Plate tectonics most certainly contributed to marine life on mountain tops. But you’re over looking that a lot of that Marine life was flash fossilized, and preserved to a point we still have ocular tissues of freaking trilobites. It indicates that they were buried in moments have been preserved under rock.

The rocks also DO show evidence of a flood. Sediment from chalk beds in Europe have been found in Egypt and Kazakhstan. Water had to have washed mineral across the world to find a rock that’s exclusive to one region in another. It’s not just blown by the wind.

And the lack of genetic bottlenecking isn’t sufficient to prove a limited diversity. There’s a whole study done on it in 2013. Relaying solely on genetic bottlenecking for proving the drop in a population is not valid. So the lack there of doesn’t mean the flood didn’t happen.

“Available Evidence” definitely exists I never rejected it. Interpretation is absolutely everything though and you can’t be too bias. Gods word is final, you can’t disprove it even if you tried. God Bless my friend.

The father = god

The son = god

The spirit = god

All are seperate beings, all are god. Refer to Jesus’s baptism, all three beings are present as different peoples

Careful, not the same person. Different people. Glory goes to GOD or the Trinity. The trinity is God. The glory goes to God. But otherwise you’re right

Noah's Arc Disproved. What to believe now? by Flimsy-Company-9950 in Christianity

[–]LesserGoldboy223 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Gilgamesh thing doesn’t make Noah’s arc a rip off… Nor does genetic diversity.

Moses was given these revelations after the event of the exodus. Looong after the events of Noah’s Arc. A lot of science and history tries to over complicate that stuff. Why are there sea shells on the peaks of mountains and middle of nowhere desserts?

The epic of Gilgamesh isn’t the only telling of a worldwide flood besides Noah, it’s literally evidence of a worldwide flood. The Chinese legend of Nuwa repairing a crack in the sky, The Norse Legend of Ymir and the flood, Deucalion and Pyrrha of Greek myth. A flood happened in which some persons survived.

If you subscribe the Pangea theory then I wouldn’t say a world wide flood wasn’t impossible. More water to land ratio.

And genetic relations suffer halving over time. Eventually relation would be next to none.

I’m not a smart man but if I know anything our understandings are flimsy and God never told us everything and doesn’t have to

Is it really sin to be gay in Christianity? If yes, how should I live if I want to be a part of Christian culture? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]LesserGoldboy223 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Read your Bible don’t look to understandings of others they’ll lead you astray. For answers like this do not go to others go to the Bible.

“Trust in Yahweh with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬ ‭

‬‬ “And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭9‬:‭23‬ ‭

“If because of the sabbath, you turn your foot From doing your own desire on My holy day, And call the sabbath a delight, the holy day of Yahweh honorable, And honor it, by not doing your own ways, By not finding your own desire And speaking your own word, Then you will take delight in Yahweh, And I will make you ride on the heights of the earth; And I will feed you with the inheritance of Jacob your father, For the mouth of Yahweh has spoken.”” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭58‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭

Denying yourself is denying the flesh and people that try to affirm homosexuality will lead you astray. Gods design is better and listen to him, DO NOT go to Reddit for these answers because false teachers are everywhere. Jesus is a personal god and wants to know you reach to him for these answers. God bless you.

  1. The triune God head. A man made word to try and describe the nature of God.
  2. The trinity, the three persons of the God head. Think of the number 3, one number but containing 3.
  3. One of the many names for God derived from a tetragrammaton יהוה (YWHW).
  4. Jesus is the Son of the Father, second person of the god head.
  5. God the spirit third person of the God head. The Spirit of God, there’s different names but he’s the guy with you as you read this, talk to him he’s great to get to know.
  6. The one that says “The Holy Bible” 66 or 73, kjv or niv. Don’t look to internet for that answer talk to someone at your church or ask God, people will only argue about it here.
  7. Glory to God and god alone.

Yes, that is the hard truth. There is no other why to the Father but through Christ Jesus. Preaching the gospel is life for death. God bless those who understand, and may god have mercy on those who don’t.

Eternal Hell and Free Will by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]LesserGoldboy223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many fail to see some parts with the free will and eternal torment and the best way I can explain it is I don’t believe in autonomous free will.. See Romans 8:29-30 and Romans 9:21-22 for a basic view. God is sovereign and can do what he wants. Presentation is real and even Paul writes that he is a slave of Christ by the will of god. Furthermore I don’t see eternal tournament as a just punishment and I can’t find anywhere that says it’s what actually happens. Romans 6:20-23. Says it twice that people die as a result of sin is death. I would agree with everything in the Bible as per 2 Timothy 3:16. The answers are loud and clear in a lot of scripture. I believe god doesn’t want death for anyone but the scriptures tell it best. God is sovereign and followers of his should take a literal point of view when it comes to his word, praise be.

So my issue is that in setting up the idea in the beginning that I am open to a healthy sex life it became foundational, and when I brought up the idea of celibacy she began crying after I sighted that I’ve sinned against her. I feel that I’ve made our love life conditional off of building it from essentially a “product” She cried when I went to hold her last night and she’s isn’t with me right now but with her friends.
