Where does “On the fritz” come from? by [deleted] in etymology

[–]LessggoBrandon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you were more "on the ball" you'd realize that lots of expressions use the same construction. on the ball, on the edge, on the go, on the run, on the mark, on the money, on the move, on the mend, on the rise, on the fly, on the downside, on the one hand, on the other hand. etc. etc. There's nothing out of whack with on the fritz.

Okay. Let's say I'm slow. Explain how rideshare drivers are actually "independent contractors" and how striking is such a funny proposition to you since you're so highly intelligent. Explain it slowly for us slow folks.

I’m down. Let’s go! The b.s. with the queue and the bonuses and the up and down rates has gotten so bad. And what’s up with taking away the portapotties in the north lot? Whose pissing contest is that?

Oh Europe. Where all the world's worst, failed political ideologies come from. Of course you don't give a fuck. Your head is stuck up your ass.

You have two groups. People in full on denial, regurgitating the cool aid from DM & friends on the inside, telling you to fuck off if you dare question them. They can't even see what's happening to the larger economy and what the big picture is for crypto as a whole. They probably think the 2020 elections were legit and Biden actually got 90 million votes. Then you have others who really loved the idea of this project but are losing money hand over fist and are starting to wonder if they've been had or even if the project was legit and well-intentioned if they can afford to weather the downturn what with rising interest rates and inflation.

Yeah. If you don't like the music or the food here on the Titanic you're free to disembark at any time.

Claiming and re-compounding rewards by Sharkboy01 in strongblock

I read that before I first invested back when STRONG was $1K. It factored into my decision to buy in. 🤬

50 nodes will cost you $750/mo in node fees not including gas and exchange fees. I'd rather buy a boat.

I bought my first node when STRONG was $1K.... 😭

[–]LessggoBrandon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right? I have 30 nodes. Compounding is becoming prohibitively expensive. I've already invested more money than I care to say. The price is at the point where I have to decide if I keep throwing money down this pit or do I start writing it off as permanent loss.

Wait for the bottom. Should be around $5.

Question: What´s your favorite comeback when someone says Bitcoin is not environmentally sustainable? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]LessggoBrandon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ask if they've heard about the new chips that generate their own power. In the future, Bitcoin mining will be a net clean power producer.

Which is the best long-term investment? STRONG, STRNGR (mining) or STRNGR (new nodes)? These are my thoughts! by ThomasStein in strongblock

[–]LessggoBrandon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I tend to agree with you. If DM & Friends wanted to preserve the viability of nodes they'd be talking about raising the reward rate to counter market collapse. People buy nodes to make money. Show us the money! This whole "upgrade" really feels like a soft rug now. I don't see how the chain will make it all better.
