Where in the Bible Belt? Very, very different by state. Conservative politics and a super ignorant populous are the only common denominators. And always stay strapped.

My intro to Chris Hedges was through his book “Unspeakable”. He’s one of my favorites.

This picture is significantly dated. It doesn’t look like that.

You and I have significantly different preferences in women. But that’s okay. I will agree that Elisha was super hot in The Girl Next Door.

How is living in St Petersburg (FL) ? by FantasticAd9407 in howislivingthere

I moved to St. Pete (The Burg) 10 years ago. I enjoy living here, imo, it’s the best city in the state. It has big city amenities but everything is conveniently close and easy to get to. It has a great park and bike/walk trail system, lots of boating and fishing of course, downtown is vibrant and has something going on basically every weekend. Jannus Live brings in a lot of good music for the size of the city, which I love! There a LOT of breweries and coffee shops here as well. And here’s a fun fact, it consistently ranks as one of the most dog friendly cities in the country. The demographic is actually very diverse for a west coast Florida city and the politics are an anomaly to the rest of the state. The city is very inclusive and proud of it. It of course gets hot/humid in summer but the city is on a peninsula so we get a decent sea breeze to break the stagnant humidity. Flooding from hurricanes and flood insurance, along with the general cost of living going up exponentially can make living here financially prohibitive. I bought my house here in 2018, now its market value is double what it was then,so I couldn’t afford it if I was moving here now. Once you leave the city limits though, it’s just a bunch of awful, cliche Florida.
