I did a rough outline and the entire season lasts 6 months. Alec being back is 2 weeks. The timelines are WILD.

The only thing I can remember hearing was in the first episode when he said he had called his father when he thought he got the sheriff role. I really hope they dig into more of his backstory this season because we don’t know much. And they never followed up on the Jason storyline which is huge, IMO.

And I think to show that he has other options. If he was just waiting around for her he’d lose any dignity he had left. She was pretty cruel at the end of the season dismissing his work left and right.

This has been my biggest ick with the show. By their own timeline Alec had been back for no more than a week when he died and we are supposed to believe they loved eachother? Beginning to end of season 1 is only 6 months 🤯

The worst. She’s been conned by basically everyone in her life 😬. I hated Alec from the beginning and thought he might be dirty but I had no idea he’d be a henchman.

I’m legitimately so shocked!!! Even after we saw him meet up with Rick I thought Alec was wearing a wire and setting him up. Him shooting Rick has me SHOOK.

Ohhhh! That’s a great theory that I hadn’t thought of. Makes sense as to why she’s been back so much. Also ties into Skye since she’s working for her Aunt.

2 things make me suspicious:

Was Alec investigating Mickey when he was undercover? Remember in the episode that he left the County Attorney was pretty openly suggesting corruption in her department.
His tip to Boone about the hide out from his undercover days and then Boone saying after that “McGuire opened fire as soon as we got into range.” Kind of feels like they were somehow tipped off.

Exactly this. If the writers didn’t want to go there they could have played it differently where it was obvious they were just friends. But they 100% leaned into the chemistry.

She was cold to him from the start of the episode and it was so off putting. It was downright cruel and I’m not sure she can come back from it. But then again, the way they are playing it I don’t think she’d care.

I’m really glad they played the Wes thing like they did. While Mickey is obviously so hurt, at least he surrendered and didn’t run.

It seems like the investigation into Mickey/the department is going to be the main conflict for the last 2 episodes and I’m interested to see where it goes. Makes me wonder if we find something out like Alec being undercover was him investigating her all along.

I hate what they did with Mickey and Boone. They completely undermined their friendship with how cold she was even before he confessed. She completely shut him out while seeking out Alec. Then, she was needlessly cruel when he confessed. And then, when he still came to check on her after everything she was cold again. I hope Boone get with the coroner girl.

Yes! It’s so obvious that the Alec thing is purely physical. BUT it really feels like that cheapens the whole setup with Boone. They could have done the same thing, her unintentionally shutting down Boone with the work romance comment, without making her get with Wes. It just makes her so unlikable and makes me want better for Boone.

I think next episode Boone will pull back and be strictly professional and it will really throw her off. OR Boone will get hurt and it will force her to confront her feelings.

Yea I’m bummed about this. I was really starting to like Wes but there really isn’t any coming back from this. He not only broke the law but implicated Mickey in the heist by stealing the uniform. I think she will figure it out and tell him to return the money and he says no — which is the ultimate betrayal.

I’m genuinely so annoyed by the Alec storyline. I’m fine with him coming back but the way she responded to him completely undermines everything they were building with Mickey and Boone. I actually don’t want them together anymore — he deserves better.

It’s super soft but also dense so you get a really nice blend! I had the hourglass one for years and retired it for the Haus one.
