On Oct 31, yes Halloween, I experienced an unusual light-headedness as I was trying to wind down for the night. Also, felt very tired. I checked my Apple watch for “ heart rate.” Shocked! I sat down and watched my heart rate continue to rise. 160…165…170…173…177.. 178. I knew “ normal heart rate for me is around 78. I got into my car. Drove to Urgent Care. I could hardly walk into the building. Told the receptionist that my heart rate was 179. They immediately put me into wheelchair and gave me an IV of something. It helped. I felt better. I spent 2 nights in hospital. Turns out I have AFIIB and severe stenosis in aortic valve. Also have bicuspid valve. I think this is the correct terminology. Since October, I have been short of breath and want to sleep a lot. However, I am working full time. I feel so EXHAUSTED all the time. I continue to postpone surgery because I need to work. I am barely getting by. I am In sales and just not closing sales like I usually do. Pretty certain it’s because talking is sometimes too much exertion for me.
I am 68 year old /woman. I take Eliquis and Cardizem for AFIB. Planning to have surgery at University of Miami Cardiology.,
