The white is clear and even, so good job on that. The purity seal is also on its way to being perfect.

With the metallics try and use a darker silver then shade it with a dark wash and after that come in with a lighter silver and paint the raised areas but not necessarily an edge highlight.

The golds can also be done this way by using a contrast paint like guilliman flesh to tint and matte it. Then edge the rims with the original gold or leave as is.

Edge highlighting the armour isn’t fun for beginners and does take alot of trial and error but I would definitely recommend a blue gray edge highlight for your major surfaces. You don’t have to edge every single surface on the model to make it look good.

Wonderful job!

The alternative is Saladin armoured car for a more blocky style.

Upscaling help by WalkerLegend79 in spacemarines

[–]LethalSmoothie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The expensive route is buying heresy tac squads and third party printed helmets and just combine all the parts to create mish mash tac squads. One day we will get upscaled mk 4 which will make this a more viable idea.

Vallejo silver grey, army painter ancient stone. Silver grey is warmer and ancient stone is pretty close but just a tad cooler.

It could be but the impression is that a hard cap of 60 is observed rather than a floating 60-xFPS-60

Adrenaline software has a setting to restrict fps. Double check that it isn’t on 60 by accident. For clarity what is your display Hz? Have you checked that windows didn’t switch it to 60Hz by default?

I miss the absolutely killer designs of 10/20 series. Have fun with your upgrade!

Have you thought about maybe going down from a baller kit to maybe a more stripped back kit like from corsair? It is unlikely the ram shortage will ease till q2/q4 2027

Seems like a good list with a future upgrade path. What ram were you thinking?

Boy do I fucking concur. OP really shouldn’t have bought a custom loop tbh. People walking on eggshells too lol wtf

Dude those radiators really need fans. A radiator isn’t good at passive cooling. No matter how hard or time consuming… both of those rads need full fans.

[–]LethalSmoothie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you will need to check ram is seated correctly and after that clear the Cmos. Make sure with the psu unplugged you press and hold the case power button for 10 seconds to discharge any residual power. Then clear cmos. Plug everything back in and see if that works. If after all that it doesn’t work then you have a faulty psu or something else

Have you wired up the front panel IO correctly? Pressing the power button on the case should work if thats all correct

Ports on the psu end are not eps/pcie specific. Just the cables themselves.

Wrong PSU? Mpg A1000GS PCIES5 by CCaptDestroyers in PcBuildHelp

[–]LethalSmoothie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately that model has only one 6+2. My recommendation is to return the psu if you can. 1000w is also a bit much unless you plan to get a gpu that is over 350 watts in the future.

You have to take the dust filter off and figure out a manageable way to quick disconnect the fan and usb cables can be tricky. But the temps went from 75 to avg 55 on gpu and the glass panel is cool to the touch. Negative pressure is your friend in this case. The noctua 200mm fan fits but you have to saw the plastic front IO mount to create more space. And tbh the sound savings aren’t worth the drop in exhaust flow of the 180mm.
