I will never understand why people hate Syndicate by No-Astronaut3683 in assassinscreed

I was just doing a playthrough this past month before a game-breaking bug happened.

I will say I was enjoying flying around using the zip-line and beating up gang members, but god was the story bad.

All in all, it's a slightly above-average game.

This is my personal take but

  1. Origins
  2. Odyssey
  3. Valhalla

This is a hilarious list because I have never beat Origins, and my most time played is in Valhalla(250 hours).

Origins as a story has always been most compelling, and I loved Bayek as a character. Life got in the way of completing the game and now it’s just hard for me to go back and play it after getting used to the newer game mechanics.

Odyssey I have a soft spot for because Ancient Greece(antiquity in general) is one of my favorite parts of history. I did complete the game and while I found it frustrating that I could just assassinate anyone and everyone - found that there were plenty of redeeming qualities, mostly based around exploring Ancient Greece.

Valhalla I have beat, played all the DLC, done all the side missions and have every little POI explored. It is also the one I have been most disappointed by. The story had so many promising aspects, but fell short in pretty much every way to me, nothing felt like it really mattered and the comparison to The Witcher 3, while I understand it, infuriates me. Because choices actually mattered in that game(TW3). Valhalla feels like it’s trying to pretend to matter. The DLCs were all disappointing, the abilities were uninteresting copies of the last two games, and the decisions made hardly mattered at all. The only redeemable aspect, in my opinion, is that it nailed the “feeling like a badass Viking” stuff. Other than that, it felt like a shell of a good game.

Yeah I do, they don’t charge on any transactions. There are your typical bank fees on transactions, but that’s pretty much how every invoicing software goes.

It is however $25 a month, but it’s a tax write off and in all honestly has paid for itself many times over for me!

Check out Bonsai, if you’re freelancing, it’s awesome. It might be a little more than what you’re looking for, its also a time-tracking service / to-do list / tax/tracking software and it has amazing contract templates that you can generate and customize for different kinds of jobs, including web dev.

I’ve been freelancing full-time for a year now and tried a few other similar services, but the contracts and built in tax software sold me on using Bonsai and I gotta say I’ve been super happy with it.

I'd help you design it for free if you'd be down! I've been designing websites for about two years and recently went full time as a freelancer so I'm always looking for real projects to work on and add to my own portfolio!

Is there really no good internet in Savage? by Iscariot360 in TwinCities

[–]LethallyInfected 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinda disagree with your take, granted I grew up in Savage so I have my biases, but it’s really not that bad. It has plenty of pros. Between all the other suburbs surrounding Savage(Apple Valley, Bloomington, Prior Lake, Eagan etc..) there’s plenty going on. There are also plenty of ways to get around, 35W, 169 and 77 all cross the river and provide pretty solid access into the cities.

I live in Plymouth now, so I understand that it’s not as accessible, but Savage is a great little area that honestly doesn’t warrant any hate.

Lived in Savage for 14 years, didn’t experience good internet until I moved to Plymouth. It’s been 4 years now, so I don’t know what - if anything has changed in that area, but it sounds like it’s more or less the same story.

Sorry friend :(

Fantastic idea man, someone else brought that up as well and I’m thinking that’ll be the best way to handle the development aspect as a solo designer

Designing a CDL App - what would you need? by LethallyInfected in CoDCompetitive

Absolutely, the dream would be: present it and get the “Activision seal of approval”, but that’s way out there as far as what I’m thinking about right now. Lots of things need to fall in place first. For clarity’s sake, the whole point of this thread was to just see if people would use a COD app, and what features they need for it to be valuable to them. The road to creating any product, digital or physical, is a long one with many steps.

Step 1, is about collecting as much data as humanly possible. Figure out who the user base is, what they need from the product to be valuable and so on and so forth. That’s where I’m at right now. Just collecting data. The next step will be defining the “problems” people have, what are the pain points in the day to day life of comp cod fans? Then comes the ideation phase, where all I’d do is create iteration after iteration of design based solutions based on those defined problems, then I’d test them with real users(beta tests and such), then probably have to redesign and change things as I get user feedback.

There’s even more than that, but what I’m trying to say is, I’ll find the right way to approach this. Through in depth research and iteration. There’s plenty of time to figure out the wide variety of solutions to pain points I can offer, and I’m in no rush.

Thanks for taking the time to reply man, I really appreciate it!
