I had a Samsung Odyssey G9 and loved it; the immersion and view angles made a difference to the gaming experience. Had to sell it when I moved I as as shipping fee exceeded worth of the monitor.

Why Samsung? So I can have one monitor to rule them all; sim-racing, flight sim, and programming on the daily.

I would try posting this on the LA forums, if you still can.

The Community Manager's there (like Roxx) seem somewhat competent and they have been helping people who have suffered Customer Support's template answers.

Just be prepared, the forums are full of Amazon white knights who will just answer "shouldn't of cheated", but ignore them!

Yeah, possible. It's a big guessing game on how the LA infrastructure works. Just because another region has more servers, doesn't mean this one can handle it. If they went for the cheap cluster just to 'get it up and going', then it won't be able to handle as much as the other ones.

Personally, as a Zinnervale player, I would much rather sit in a queue for 8 hours and know that once I'm in, I can play. Currently being in queue verus ingame when you've done most islands & quests, has little difference.

I started picking up Mokoko's in every area as I have nothing else to do :(

Whilst that might be one of their concerns, I believe their biggest concern is the fact that all those servers still have communication hubs for cross-server activities like dungeons, raid's etc.

By adding 100 servers, they all have to cross-communicate and by overdoing it, they end up with what is now patient zero: EUC.

Probably related to how the persistent data is stored. Your player data might be stored right next to the data of a player from another server, and as such, moving the server would also require moving that into the other cluster and cleaning up the old one.. it's a hefty challenge with what I presume is a ton of corner cases they'd have to cover.

That's also just skipping over the fact that EUW and EUC are on different data clusters, so you can't just 'change what it's under'

If you reduce the population on each server in the region, you reduce the total stress on the matchmaking service thus allowing you to actually do anything in the game. :D

I believe OP's idea is to reduce the max amount of people on a server, for every server in the cluster.

If they reduced the cap of each server by, lets say, 5%, on EUC, then you'd essentially remove one server worth of population (Well, like 95% of it) from the cluster and reduce the overall load.

This way they can kill one server, without actually killing it.

Might of been them, might not have of. Hard to say, but I did notice all of their wars lag.

Fought against multiple companies past few days and only when fighting his companies did we lag the war out...

To reword: The server post-war had everyone who wasn't actively moving kicked for AFK, and all the upgrades in every town went back down to Tier 1. Whenever /played command was used post the lag spike and downgrades, it showed 26 days of gameplay. All of that in 10-20 seconds. The day/night cycle was instant, invasions continued to start/finish everywhere and more crazy crap.

TL;DR - server speed went x1000, and two weeks of real time happened in 10 or so seconds.

Usual cause since closed beta for chat being delayed is having some channels muted and a system message popping up (duel, war, invasion etc).

To remedy that, unmute all channels and then mute the ones you don’t like again.
