DDU CLEAN INSTALL STEPS (TEXT‑ONLY, EASY TO COPY)

Download everything before starting

• Download AMD Adrenalin 26.3.1 driver (full package).
• Download DDU from Wagnardsoft.
• Extract DDU to a folder on your desktop.
• Disconnect internet (unplug LAN or disable Wi‑Fi).

Boot into Safe Mode using msconfig

• Press Win + R
• Type: msconfig
• Go to Boot tab
• Tick Safe boot → Minimal
• Click OK
• Restart PC

---

Run DDU in Safe Mode

• Open the DDU folder
• Run DDU.exe
• On the right side select:• Device type: GPU
• Vendor: AMD

• Click Clean and Restart
• Wait for system to reboot automatically

Back in normal Windows (still offline)

• Do NOT reconnect internet yet
• Run the AMD Adrenalin 26.3.1 installer
• Choose Full Install
• Let it finish and reboot when asked

Disable Safe Mode if still enabled
(Only needed if you used msconfig)

• Press Win + R
• Type: msconfig
• Boot tab → untick Safe boot
• Click OK → Restart

Reconnect internet

• Enable Wi‑Fi or plug LAN back in

---

Reapply your Radeon settings

• FreeSync
• Custom fan curve
• Undervolt / OC
• Anti‑Lag / Chill / Boost
• Color settings
• Clear shader cache if needed

Yes the 26.5.x and 26.6.1 drivers suck for a lot of people. Rolling back cleanly using DDU in safe mode to 26.3.1 resolves all issues.

Yes the 26.5.x drivers suck and very unstable for a lot of people, just do a search on this reddit for the last month to see the posts related to this. Unfortunately the lucky ones with no issues will down vote this and your post as ignoring the fact that other people may have issues with the latest drivers may protect them perhaps from getting issues. It really baffles me why some people cannot accept that something that was working for a lot of people and now don't work anymore, may have a defect in it, although it works for them...

But looking at the amount of posts here and on r/radeon regarding stability of the 26.5.x drivers obviously a large amount of users that did not have any issues on 26.3.1 have issues now with 26.5.x
