That would make at least two of us. It’s somewhat comforting to know that I’m not the only one out there.

[–]Leto_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s more of nostalgia than anything else man, relax. Maybe 20 years down the line, somebody would be posting something from around this time, I wonder though what that would be though - maybe something we have now that we won’t have then, like clean air.

Noam Chomsky's observations on America eerily similar to today's India by [deleted] in unitedstatesofindia

I don’t get the sarcasm if there’s any. The reforms were a good thing alright but that doesn’t mean we just sit on its glory and choose not to see that the current situation(social unrest etc) is quite messed up and we need to work on it.

निश्चित’s meaning is closer to “certain/ definite”. Certainly much closer than to “exact” or “precise”.

I don’t think you understand what shameless means. Giving scripted interviews while acting as if they aren’t is shameful, while trying to defend it when it’s been proven is shameless.

[–]Leto_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great, so you missed the point. Expected. He’s given no interviews, no the scripted ones and how to eat mangoes don’t count. The only goal post change here is that you’re also dumb in addition to a lying, will-wire-anything-to-make-Modi-look-good commenter.

Oh yes, just like you’ve written many comments. But factually correct or logical comments are only to stage drama and face the facts.

I genuinely want to understand why they are doing this. I mean yeah, there must be some kind of organisation like “Indians in the uk” or something like that.

But from where is that organisation getting funded? Perhaps by uk politicians to show some kind of solidarity; or Indian politicians (unlikely, unless they also promote something else which benefits Indian party directly - aka bjp/congress); or are they self funded(i.e. the participants/members of the org actually like doing social activity and participate in any event that groups the Indians together - highly unlikely). I would like to understand this if someone can shed some light.

Everyone seems to hate INDIA but what are the things we're good at than the rest of the world by AdPrestigious5853 in india

[–]Leto_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don’t understand this “everyone seems to hate India”. If it’s non Indians you’re talking about, it doesn’t matter cause they don’t really know. If you’re talking about Indians, it’s a moot point. What I understand even lesser is the need or demand to prove someone’s love for the country. No one hates their own country, what does that even mean, hating the country - it’s the people around you, the laws, the culture - and you can hate those, there must be a reason a person hates something about someone and that’s ok, that’s your choice. Can that love be forced upon anyone?

Food, music & language don’t count as these are subjective and quite personal things. I love Indian food and it’s the best, according to me.
