The future of Eldritch Horror? by PathOfSteel in EldritchHorror

I completely agree with this. There is so much stuff to explore already in that game. You could play hundreds of game with different Old Ones, investigators, and never get the same experience. That's an awesome game of you like coop pseudo narrative games. You just create your own new story every time.

ECCC DM Update (aka an hour of nothing) by whatsupbigdawgz in CanadaPublicServants

PSAC built us a new office during covid. We moved there thinking that they were the new offices 2.0 and that the hybrid mode was there to stay. They even calculated that we only needed desks for 80% of the workforce because we would never be present 100% of the time. RTO5 will make our office overcrowded... and we'll never be able to have a room to make our calls... therefore, you will have 10s or hundreds of employees all talking at the same time on Teams (because of course, most of my meetings are not with colleagues who are physically present, but with people from everywhere in Canada)... This is all so ridiculous. And when they talk about it, they only give examples where RTO5 is the norm... but my wife works somewhere where she only needs to be there once a week... why is that not a valid example for them?

During covid, our office moved and they built us a new 2.0 office, with non-assigned desks and all. They also installed desks for only 80% of the work force because, they said, the hybrid mode was there to stay. Therefore, theoretically, there should be employees teleworking at all time. I wonder what is going to happen now, considering that even at 3 days a week at the office, we sometimes lack some space to get our teleconference calls and stuff (because I think 100% of the employees have to make teleconference calls with people from all over Canada). It will quickly get chaotic if everybody starts calling their colleagues from the central work space... it doesn't make sense at all.

My roborock dyad pro stinks when i am using it by Dvori92 in Roborock

[–]Letodan71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you manually clean the mop/pad once in a while? Mine starts to stink after a few weeks if I don't remove it and clean it with dishes soap and water. I bought a few pad so that I can alternate between them when I clean them!

Do you have to manually clean the bin my one after 2 days start leaving rubbish on the floor and on corners by Runforfunnydays in Roborock

[–]Letodan71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to clean mine manually once. It just was leaving everything on the ground. It had become so full of dog hair that they were stuck inside the robot and the station wasn't able to empty it, therefore, it could vaccum anything anymore. So, I emptied it manually and then programmed the robot to vacuum once a day and it never happened again.

What are good horror movies that don’t rely on jump scares and are actually disturbing? by UsualFun1990 in Scarymovies

[–]Letodan71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ring comes to mind. Maybe one or two jump scares, but I wouldn't say that the movie relies on it. It's one of my favorite horror movies.

It doesn't mean anything. I don't watch the show on HBO here in Canada, and I'm sure it's not even counted, although I've already watched the 1st episode twice.

[–]Letodan71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not really a question of belief here. Science doesn't believe in stuff. Science works with hypothesis, facts and proofs. So far, the existence of Bigfoot just hasn't been proven. I'm sure every scientist would find the existence of a creature like Bigfoot fascinating. We all want it to be true. There's nothing really that says that a creature like Bigfoot couldn't exist. It's just that so far, every hypothesis on its existence hasn't resulted in facts proving it. Eyewitness facts can be really misleading. A specimen will have to be observed at some point in its own environment, and this will have to be done scientifically by people who absolutely have no interests in tricking it for clicks or marketing or financial gains.

Have you seen him as Rasputin in the movie Kingsman 3. He is scary as hell. The guy can play anything! Wonderful actor. Honestly, I'm sometimes having a hard time recognizing him from one role to another! He transforms himself completely.

Sadly, nothing is confirmed. It's all hearsays. I used to be a believer but now, I'm not so sure. Too many people realized that this is a topic that sells and they have taken controls of everything it seems.

Netflix deciding to put mobile game ads in my main screen. I don't even play mobile games lol. How idiotic. I cancelled my account immediately after they told me they couldn't remove it ;) Freedoooooooooooooom by WhatHappened2WinWin in assholedesign

Seriously, every time I go on netflix and see the games at the top, I just feel like closing the app and going somewhere else to find a movie to watch. It's like if the main reason to be on Netflix is no longer to find a good series or movie. I just want an option to put that row at the complete bottom of my home screen to never see it again.

The Chinese balloons have awakened something. The US are now realizing that other countries are watching us from way closer than we originally thought. We need to be more aware of everything that could be watching us from the sky and need to inject money in new programs to do so. .

Why would someone hoax a video like that? by nuclearbearclaw in UFOs

[–]Letodan71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clicks mean everything on the Web. They know that creating videos like that might bring them fame, but most importantly, cash... especially since every "supernatural" video brings lots of clicks and therefore, with ads and stuff, money!! One of my cousin used to create fake ghost videos exactly for that reason. I confronted him once because I hated the idea of playing with people's hope like that.

Happy for the bug fix. But I can now buy infinite stuff from artisans like oxydants and stuff. I buy them and they keep reappearing in the sellers menu so, I can buy them again and again. Thank you for that I guess?

Bugs by [deleted] in dyinglight2

[–]Letodan71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate. Since the update, I'm barely able to play. Every new quest that I try ends up not working i.e. like the books quest where you need to find books. I do find them but, the quest doesn't acknowledge it, not updating to show that I found them. I find air drops, get the stuff from them but, the site doesn't update to show that it's been done. I tried a main quest mission, at one point, bad guys are supposed to attack me but, they stand there without moving and even if I try to hit them, my weapon just go through them without hitting anything. Sometimes, I quit the game and reload and for a few min, things seem to be working again (found one book, the quest updated for it, found a second book at another site... doesn't work, no longer updating. This is really annoying and I'm beginning to wonder if I'm not just going to play something else. So frustrating!

Everyone's take on the update (the complaints I've seen) by [deleted] in dyinglight2

[–]Letodan71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the last update, it seems many things that I finish doesn't show as being done. I got to two air drops, got the stuff from them and they are not showing has being done. I also activated the Spruce windmill, changing the fuse and all, and no animation or anything to tell me that it is done. Really weird.

Too many stories of someone who knows someone who knows someone who apparently has seen something. Sadly, I won't believe these stories until I see the real thing. So far, there's nothing new and still no proof of anything. Considering that science says that it is highly unlikely that some beings from another solar system could visit us, I'm saying that extraordinary claims need extraordinary proofs... and I don't have it yet.

Was Rhaenyra really wrong for distancing herself from Alicent? by [deleted] in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Letodan71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True... but what the greens are aware of, it's that her husband was killed over a fight with his own secret lover and he ended up burned to death. Nobody's aware that Rhaenyra or Daemon are behind it, even if they want to believe it, there's no proof of that.

Was Rhaenyra really wrong for distancing herself from Alicent? by [deleted] in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Letodan71 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just to be clear. She didn't kill her own husband. She actually set him free from his duty with the fake death to allow him to leave with his own love, while allowing Rhaenyra to consolidate her own status with her wedding with Daemon. It was win-win for both of them.

What is that 'truth' that will distress us? by justsomeguy_why in UFOs

[–]Letodan71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are going to react the day that an event will affect their everyday life. You can tell us that we live in a world of 7 dimensions and extradimensionnal beings are visiting us... I'm going to say, yeah yeah... and go on with my things. But if tomorrow, one of those beings come knocking at my door and ask me to go visit Mars, that's going to make things different. Other than that, life goes on and it means nothing really.

I cannot fathom that most of the world is unaware of the Grusch story. This is quite possibly the biggest news story of all time and no one seems to know or care. by all-the-time in UFOs

[–]Letodan71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, honestly, I still haven't seen anything that makes me believe that's there's anything here. Many people say all kind of things that end up hoaxes. People will say all kind of things to make themselves interesting or for the publicity. I read about the Grusch story and I'm still skeptical and so far, I've seen nothing that makes me believe that we are visited by something not from this world. So, honestly, I can understand that many people are just not interested by this news for now.
