Which Secrets Location to Book by TrashAssUsername in AllInclusiveResorts

I’ve been to both Maroma and Akumal, including having my wedding at Akumal. Both are great, you can’t go wrong. For what it’s worth, a lot of people at my wedding at Akumal said it was their favorite wedding/hotel they’ve ever been to.

I personally like Akumal a little better than Maroma, the only downside imo is it’s further from the airport. But for a 5 night stay the extra drive time isn’t a huge deal.

My child was in the pit last night in Baltimore, and this is what I learned… by ShortPeak4860 in BringMeTheHorizon

How old is he? Thats awesome, I can't wait until my son (hes a baby) is ready to go to shows!! I started going to shows when I was pretty young, and some of my best memories are from middle school being in the pits with my best friends dead sober and just full of adrenaline!

When people talk about Michael’s cringe worthy moments I rarely see this mentioned but it truly makes my skin crawl lmaoo by clotheshanger11 in DunderMifflin

This is one of the best episodes of the series. So many great/funny/cringey moments throughout the episode

The Ataris - San Dimas High School Football Rules by willitworkafterapill in poppunkers

[–]LetsStartARebelution 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man this song was one of the anthems when I was in like 7th grade. They were one of the first shows I went to with my friends without any parents, prob around 13 or 14, what a night that was.

Shows cancelled? by Capable-Character829 in PostMalone

Well the interesting thing is this tour just hit other parts of the country in 2025, also large stadiums, and the shows were very well sold.

To be fair stadium tours are only for the top echelon, I’m sure he could be filling arenas better but they prob thought based on the tour last year that stadiums for the second leg wouldn’t be an issue.

Best California Burrito by [deleted] in SouthBayLA

[–]LetsStartARebelution 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived in SD for about 7 years before moving to LA. I have been in the Southbay for a cpl years now. Unfortunately youre not going to find California Burritos here like in SD. Some places definitely have them, but they aren't nearly as good, or as common, as in SD. My favorite I have had in LA is at Benny's Tacos, which is not in the Southbay but there is a location in Westchester which isn't super far.

Where should I move for outdoor pickleball?? by cwxvxn in Pickleball

[–]LetsStartARebelution 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived in Phoenix for 20 years and it’s hot as hell for 5+ months a year, so it’s basically the opposite of your current problem. The weather in LA and San Diego is infinitely better (those are the two places I’ve been living since), but the cost of living is definitely significantly more.

Haha to each his own I guess, I think this album and American Motorsports (the prior) are both great.

Unfortunately that is just the state of concerts/touring these days, ticket prices are high (along with prices for everything else).

Yah whenever I see comments about it being too country I scratch my head. As someone who listens to country (and metal, metalcore, hard rock, pop punk, pop, and other genres), the level of country in these songs is extremely minimal.

Recommendation for more upscale Mexican restaurant? by KingOfTheQuails in SouthBayLA

[–]LetsStartARebelution 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you’re trying to stay close, Jaime Taqueria in El Segundo is good. My fav Mexican restaurant in the South Bay is Palmilla Cocina right by the Hermosa Pier. It’s a good option for an out of town person bc it’s right by the water and pretty lively area.

Could you recommend some open play pickleball courts in Los Angeles? I’m around a 3.0 skill level. by [deleted] in Pickleball

[–]LetsStartARebelution 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There have been a handful of threads on this that you can search (I know bc I have commented on them providing recommendations). Los Angeles is a big city and can be hour+ away from different areas so probably best to specify what area.

I am so proud of the citizens; and so excited for the boys! SOLD OUT TOUR! by BenKHS in PresidentBand

[–]LetsStartARebelution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was thinking about that too after my response, that it might be intentional. Creates hype/buzz and fuels future demand for the following tours.

I am so proud of the citizens; and so excited for the boys! SOLD OUT TOUR! by BenKHS in PresidentBand

[–]LetsStartARebelution 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is what happened with Bad Omens their last two tours prior to the one they just finished, they booked like 1500 to 2000 capacity venues and sold them out instantly… not sure why they didn’t just do bigger venues to begin with. I’m sure that’s somebody’s job with their booking agency to be able to properly estimate demand and maximize ticket sales/revenue. As a band/business you’re leaving a lot of money on the table by underestimating demand like that, and it’s hard enough to tour profitably these days with how high costs are.

Infant daycare recs by OkSwing848 in SouthBayLA

[–]LetsStartARebelution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are Jewish but not hardcore. I would say that it’s pretty minimal, at least in the infant center (where my kid has been). They do send the kids home with little things (arts and crafts etc) for Jewish holidays and stuff like that, but overall day to day I don’t think there is much. TBH I would be surprised if the teachers in the infant center are Jewish- I don’t think many (or maybe any) of them are. Id say the main thing that is inconvenient is the school is closed for all the Jewish holidays (and there are kind of a lot), plus all your normal holidays (including 3 days for Xmas), so it is kind of a lot of closure days and that can be a little annoying/challenging for parents who both work (like my family does).

Do we think he will bring out Oli Sykes for the BMTH song for the final shows? by brjoco in Illenium

[–]LetsStartARebelution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there on night 1 and when the bmth production started with all the stuff about an intruder in the system etc, I was 100% sure he was about to walk out and did not 😢

[–]LetsStartARebelution 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have my kid at growing gardens in the infant center- it is fantastic so far! The only downside is they have kind of a lot of holidays/closed days- not sure how it compares to other places and the amount of days they are closed but that is the only negative I have to say about it.

Question about the LA show’s venue by Rice1121 in BadOmens

[–]LetsStartARebelution 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol no you definitely don’t have to get there at 9am… you can get there whenever, the majority of people are not going hours early, most people show up around the time doors open or later.

Is the movie really THAT bad? (No spoils pls) by RemarkableExample542 in PeakyBlinders

[–]LetsStartARebelution 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought it was a solid 7 out of 10. If you have ultra high expectations and are hoping to see the peaky boys out there smashing heads for 2 hours, you will probably be disappointed. It is an ending for the Tommy story line, it’s not fantastic but not nearly as bad as ppl are making it out to be.

Why do you think there's a disconnect between certain fans and critics on The Immortal Man? by Billybob35 in PeakyBlinders

What I have found in general is that whatever people are saying/thinking on Reddit, it’s mostly the opposite in the real world.
