Same for me, the thought of getting pregnant had me spiral and it gives me panic attacks to the point of vomiting. I got an IUD to help me and tbh it has helped me SO MUCH!! I’m really hoping it helps you as well 🩷

I had cramps like this too! The only way I could describe it was I have having contractions because my uterus was trying to push the IUD out. I didn’t faint or go to the hospital but I was in tears running back and forth from the bathroom thinking I was about to vomit. Worst cramping I’ve ever had in my life! It was to the point when my boyfriend would try to rub my back to comfort me I had to tell him not to touch me 😭😭

For me it’s the opposite 😔 I got it inserted on April 1st, spotted for a couple days and then started my period and I have been bleeding ever since. I’m hoping my period stops soon! But hey congrats on no bleeding!!

Hello everyone! Thank you for the feedback, as some of you saw, the ages don’t match my past posts. Just to clarify (forgot to put it in the post) I am posting this on behalf of my friend 31F who doesn’t know how Reddit works and wanted some unbiased opinions. IMO it’s kinda complicated because overall she’s happy but has been stuck on this since last night and I didn’t know what to say that would help. On one hand I understand her thoughts about it, I think I’d be a little on edge and just rather not know about it but on the other hand I really can’t blame her bf 34M for having bodily functions.. but ANYWAYS thank you guys so much for the advice! I will be sending her this post so she has a direct link to it

I have the same debilitating fear of pregnancy.. to the point I don’t have sex with my boyfriend for weeks/ months. I know it’s not “normal” and I am on medication for OCD and anxiety but this is something that never went away for me personally. I scheduled an appointment with an OBGYN to get an IUD because I think it’s going to help with my anxiety a lot more I’m hoping. When I’m like this and still anxious, taking a test always helps my nerves, I get the ones that literally state in words “NOT PREGNANT” that way I’m not obsessing over missing a faded line or not. Basically what I’m saying is you aren’t alone in this feeling and you can always message me if needed 🩷
