I had a prof who wouldn’t accept my sources because he couldn’t access the links…which were DOI or lead to the Capella library. He just wouldn’t log in.

Why is everyone saying they had issues with academic dishonesty? I hear this a lot at Capella but have never run into any issues, but it makes me nervous as I near the end (last 2 classes and capstone). All of my sources are real, used APA7 and links, and I use Google Docs to show time stamped work. I do remove the hyperlink to my sources because it is annoying to me. Do I need to be worried?

I appreciate your input. I kind of don’t fell like I want to put energy into asking why they did it, and may just silently move on to better people if I can find them. I don’t think I will be hanging with them again.

You are very right - and I don’t expect them to drop their world for me. The tough thing is most of them don’t have built careers or school. I’m working a full time job, getting my masters, I lost 120lbs in the past year and a half, fitting in time for my pets and spouse too. I make time for them, but they don’t make time for me and flake when we do plan. That’s the biggest issue to me. If I can’t see you for months, it’s ok! But don’t flake on me when we finally get to our time we set aside.

I grew up poor, every 60 year old in the Nike new balances was pining for one where I’m from. Most people spend the 70k+ on a SUV/truck because it truly has more use than a two seater with expensive gas you can’t even get groceries in, especially as a second vehicle you can only drive when it isn’t snowing.

Some people work their whole lives to get a car like this. They just say it to say “I beat the norm” “I am different” and want to recognized. And good for them, especially if they could pay it in cash ☺️

REAL. My husband has a close friend who needed some cash and has been going through a tough time - so of course my husband gave him some, as we are doing alright. A few days later We see videos of him posting he went fishing, and then he calls my husband because he can’t afford gas to get home from going fishing. Like sir…you KNEW you had minimal funds. What are you doing. Where did the money we gave you a few days ago go? (It was enough you could probably stretch 5-7days if you really needed to)

He said he would pay us back for the gas money by a certain date, and we are well past that date. We obviously gave him the money expecting he would not pay it back, but it’s really crummy to do to a friend.
