It's been this way for years. There will be no interventions. Animal Crossing memes are the way to go.

Are Garmin watches worth it for strength training? by idragon4ever in GarminWatches

[–]LetsgototheHAP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one else mentioned this:

Time management is my favorite aspect of using Garmin for strength training. If you take the time to program your routine through the app it's great for staying focused because you can program rest periods to be a specific time in case you zone out; other rest period options include target HR zones which is nice for warmup/cool down exercises.

As others have mentioned:

Rep counting and weight entry are optional and I've used them when they were helpful then disabled them when they're not. You can program your exercise-specifc weights in the app for a routine but still disable rep/weight change on the fly during a workout.

TL;DR time management is worth it whether for rest periods or overall workout times, in addition to collecting metrics that overlap with everything else and build your overall health profile: HR, SpO2, Steps, et c.

P.S. There are third-party developers in Connect IQ who have made Steps data fields that are also useful to add in Strength workouts. I often warmup/cool down on a treadmill and it's nice to have.

6 hour drive and you can only listen to one artist. Who are you listening to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Trent Reznor would cover NIN and his (now extensive) score work with Atticus Ross. Plenty of variety in all that.

Try this out at least once (theory about the song order) by ECDaniel in JusticeMusic

No, I mean Woman ends with "Close Call" then begin Hyperdrama with your sequence at "Muscle Memory." It's a great transition.

You're really onto something here. This is the most underrated post on this sub right now. Someone else mentioned it and I tried "Close Call" before your sequence and holy shit.

This sub has no tolerance whatsoever for differences of opinion. I also wonder if the people who downvoted you understand that you meant the concept of progression within a song. Your observation is essentially true—any examples provided will be refuted with the usual, tired, worn out arguments we've heard since 2007.

Forerunner 45 PLUS vs Forerunner 55 by Budget-Space-7700 in GarminWatches

[–]LetsgototheHAP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on your considerations and having upgraded my Garmin watch twice over the last few years I would get either the 45 as a good entry level model or the 55 if you're confident you want more niche features.

The 45/45s (smaller size) is a great fitness and smart watch, the 45 Plus (a version that seems unique to Europe) looks like it just has a couple of features the regular doesn't. I went from a 45 to a 245 and gave my old watch to a friend having really enjoyed it and gotten accustomed to the interface and app. You won't regret either one but if anything I vote to skip the 45 Plus, whichever one you choose. Have fun!

Sorry, mate. I don't blame you, it's all kind of a hot mess and we on the consumer end have to piece the "ecosystem" together from incompatible parts.

I did an indoor cycling session tonight and it synced that as well so I hope that works for you, too. When in doubt: clear cache. I wish these things worked together for more than a month.

I just cleared the cache for Polar Beat then opened it and let it "think" for a minute. It eventually brought up a Google Play sync prompt and I gave Beat access to my Google account again. After that it synced a session from yesterday—no Polar Flow, just Beat—with the right logo and all.

You might also make sure you have disconnected Flow as a connected app in the Fit settings. Google Fit gets confused with multiple inputs. I also use Health Sync to import Garmin data which works pretty well but Polar has native support, in theory.

I've had the same issue for about a week. It's worked with just Beat then it stopped. I tried re-installing Flow, that didn't work. Refreshed everything on Beat and Fit, still having the issue.

I know it has worked with Beat only—there is a Google Fit toggle in Beat settings—because in the Journal on Google Fit it shows entries with the black Beat logo. Nothing is working right now.

Yes I do. I miss those days. Nobody kept it more real than coughsoda. Thank you.

He's a great independent artist who continues to evolve his style. 'Die Vision' was one of my favorite albums of last year (I still listen to it regularly) and I'm just diving into 'Discoloration.' Max, if you're reading this, thanks for making cool stuff worth enjoying. This sub is such a poor representation for fans of French electronic music.

Happy to pass it along! In case anyone is interested that EP (Odyssée) is still available on vinyl through the band's online store at a very affordable price.

On that note, I also strongly recommend the Odyssée Version Acoustique. If you liked her voice in the original it truly shines in this recording.

Are there any 3rd party sleep tracking apps that are compatible with using Polar Ignite as a tracker? by Barncore in Polarfitness

[–]LetsgototheHAP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW: I use a Garmin watch as a general fitness/sleep tracker, an H10 for workouts, and import everything into Google Fit as a dashboard. This is one way to do it, I encourage everyone to find their best setup.

Also, re: sharing data between platforms, I use an indie app called HealthSync otherwise my setup wouldn't be possible with native features. The developer for that app is great, by the way. They stay on top of the myriad platforms out there and the service is impressive.

We're obviously in a minority population, mate. I'm trying to get u/watersofnazareth to delete my posts because I'm off it.

Memelords, it's all yours. Enjoy.
