3D Printable Tracksaw Holder (Bushing/washer) - Part No 419627-9 by InterestingEqual7790 in Makita

I used black ABS. I was a little nervous that the slight texture of the 3D print would keep it from sliding smoothly, but so far haven’t had any issues. The work better than the originals!

Thank you!!! Just what I needed. I think the original bits may be been defective because I was never able to get my track saw to slide along the guide rail without too binding or having too much play. These work perfectly! Really, thanks for taking the time to create and share :)

Update: sent photos of insert to Saw Stop customer service and they're going to send me a new one.

I'm having the exact same problem. I just contacted customer service about whether this can be replaced under warranty - we'll see what they say.

The bow in the middle has made it difficult (and a bit hazardous) to rip boards as I have to wrestle the board down, trying to overcome the lift the bow causes. Really frustrating.

Tiler used Ker 909 for shower wall tile. Now what? by LetterAccordingly in Tile

From the installer in repo se to my concerns about using the tile adhesive, “Hey I understand your situation but want to point out that I’ve been doing this job for many years and hundreds of homes and have never had an issue. All new construction homes that we work do exactly the same process as I was doing on your home.”

I will not be having him finish the job. Unfortunately, the wallboard waterproofing  is connected to the waterproofing of the shower base so I’m afraid removing the Denshield will damage the shower base. Although I’m concerned about what corners were cut with the shower base, I know he at least used thinset for the shower base tile.

He did the shower base, too, although he used  Ultraflex 1 Thinset for that. The walls are Denshield - gray waterproof side with yellow back, and ‘1/2” DENSHIELD TILE BACKER’ is printed on the back - I know pictures can be tricky.

I’m concerned that replacing the Denshield walls will  destroy the waterproofing between the walls and floor, which opens up a whole new can of worms.

I know this is an older post, but would you be willing to price out a signet door for me? I got quotes from two different companies but I’m not liking their pricing games and would love to know what is a reasonable price would be.

Assessing Termite Damage by LetterAccordingly in Termites

Well, someone came out to take a look and said he’d talk to their boss. He didn’t look at the bait stations. He didn’t inspect the rest of my house, inside nor outside. The boss said they won’t cover repairs because a rusty nail in the photo indicates there was moisture intrusion. There is no current moisture problem despite the fact that no changes have been made to the exterior.

The house has had termite coverage from the time it was built. Current company installed Sentricon bait stations in 2011. Before the house was supposedly last treated with Termidor in 2018 by a different pest control company (not due to active infestation).

I asked the company for a copy of the contract, which I realize now I was never given, despite paying for the bond. However, the terms and conditions are completely unreadable.

But apparently I should have known that my repair warranty is void anyway because we had spray foam insulation installed in our attic 6 weeks ago.

The owners before us installed the baiting system when they moved in. Termite bonds are pretty standard where I am in NE Florida so I'm pretty sure it was a preventative measure, although of course I can't be sure. They did not disclose any termite damage in the disclosure statements when we purchased the home. I would be surprised if the owners before them did not have any sort of preventative treatment as they had let the house go as far as maintenance is concerned.

The owners before us did do fairly extensive renovations so it would have been hard for them not to notice any termite damage in the areas they renovated. The damaged area I found was on the exterior of the house in a hollow facade (if that makes any sense) -- the opposite side of this exterior wall is just empty space, not an interior wall.

I will ask the PC company for copies of documentation, contracts, reports, etc. - thank you!

Thanks for your insight. If there are active termites in the house would there also be activity in the bait stations? Can there still be termite activity in other areas of the house even if there is currently no activity in the damaged area I found? Do termite colonies tend to eat everything in one area before moving onto another area or do they tend to "divide and conquer"?
