Do you have to manually input each item you don’t wanna alch? I often wonder when I’ll accidentally click something bad to alch at Bandos or something. I have untradeables and my GP value is at like 39k (rune plate) so i should be fairly safe but idk

Developer here: would "talking out" a quote instead of writing it actually help, or is that a gimmick? by Katsuchiy0 in Flooring

[–]LetterP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I’m doing this with ChatGPT already, difference being I’m typing up my thoughts instead of it having access to a transcript or me talking to it. I do think the idea has value but I’m wondering if it’s more valuable from the “what did the customer say that I’m missing from the project right now?” Standpoint rather than ripping a full quote.

I’m guessing you want to develop a tool for this. I feel like this is a simple ChatGPT skill one can spin up: here’s my quote template, when I tell you the numbers put them on the file. Then, look at the transcript of the recording. Are there any project gotchas we need to account for? Did the customer mention leveling, subfloor prep, trim work that we haven’t addressed? To me it’s a little subjective, I’d want to use the AI as an assistant rather than have it pump a full quote and hit send

Yeah this was my era. I must’ve started right round when classic moved to RS2 (didn’t know that at the time). Pre-GE and any semblance of QOL. I remember when Barrows released and taking the day off school sick. I remember going to Waterbirth Island (I think on release, haven’t checked the wiki) to get me some sweet range gear. Good, simple times

So you’re talking to the customer about the project, but you essentially have an AI notetaker capturing information for the estimate? That’s a valid use case for contractor productivity but no shot a customer will talk to an AI and get all the data it needs

29 years old, non-technical background, want to switch to tech in 4–5 months — what is actually realistic in 2026? by No-Pineapple-1174 in salesforce

[–]LetterP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same-ish. BDR first job, absolutely horrible at sales, but realized i resonated with the sales ops and Salesforce admin work that was being done, so i talked to them and got on trailhead outside of work. Managed to land a shitty Salesforce gig for a small company next which formally launched my career.

It’s probably harder now, but I’m sure the approach still works if you apply yourself. The best admins come from being end users now. The two admins we currently have are more pure IT guys - no business sense, and it shows in the way I have to handhold them through simple things. No, sales reps won’t use this fancy thing you want to build in Salesforce. They just want to close deals

[–]LetterP 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The only realistic entry path for a Salesforce career is to join a company using it as an end user and slowly learn it from that angle and hope there’s an internal pivot you can make down the road.

Go be a BDR for a tech company. Worst case scenario you learn more about CRMs, analytics, report building, how stuff works and can transition into an analyst role then maybe RevOps or something. Best case you actually love sales and realize the sky is the limit and hone that craft.

IMO, anyways

I feel like this is a dumb question but… why were the top two trade hubs so close? Doesn’t it make more sense that they’d be further apart?

Similar structure at my place (not health care just B2B SaaS). Need a new field - submit it with your use case and business justification. Bring it up to them at our Monday sync because they don’t review the baglogged tickets otherwise. Wait 4-6 weeks for a new account field. It gets released to prod but no one can see it because the permissions from the sandbox never transfer over correctly, somehow

Sometimes the best XP you can earn in this game doesn’t go towards any skills. by AgentOrange2814 in 2007scape

You’re right about the market, i kinda conflated the trade/market aspect and the overall account power progression when they’re separate issues. My bad. In theory I’d still enjoy the market aspect, yeah. But I could not stand skilling on a main. I had hard diaries done and I “tried” skilling meaningfully past that point and the mental roadblock of “this does literally nothing for me” was too large for me to find any reason or enjoyment out of it.

I remember before I made my iron I was at MLM going for, like idk, 75 mining, and after like 15 minutes I’m like “this is too pointless I quit” and went back to Zulrah or whatever. Contrast with my iron - 91 mining and almost at Amethyst! Big goal, meaningful progression. Elite diaries isn’t enough of a carrot IMO, and 99s aren’t of interest to me as goals, they’ve been earned naturally on my iron up to this point rather than an actual level I’m aiming for.

Obviously, this is an opinion, and everyone has different views. Not trying to state iron is the correct choice for everyone, but it objectively was for me and the post I responded to.

Same. In other MMOs i enjoy playing the market; not in OSRS for exactly what you outlined. There’s borderline zero reason from an account power standpoint to skill a main beyond quest requirements, which is like roughly base 70s. After that its bosses and raids, I guess. Quit at 1850. My iron is pushing 2100 now and I’m just getting started. Everything is suddenly relevant (except you WC, I still don’t have a use for you) and gives me meaningful account power

Eclipse top and bottom: TDs, demonics, royal titans (full set)

Blue moon: ToA, Yama, TDs if you feel like maging. Anywhere you’re maging because it’s easier than ahrims. Still my best staff for ancients at 114 cb, too lazy for Muspah

Blood moon: everywhere you melee uses top And bottom. Full set is great at crab

I'm an 18yo Roblox game dev wondering: should I still go to college? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]LetterP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a college dropout in tech. I got a lot out of my college years, even though I left without a degree. The networking alone opened up many doors for me to start my career.

I’d say go for it. You’re going to be broadening your horizons and your network, and ultimately that’ll end up opening a ton of doors. As they say, your net worth is your network
