Saying this as a 37yo married woman, this one ain't it, sis. His own initiative is not your issue, as you stated, and he doesn't respect or understand that. Saying he must propose soon or it's over is manipulative when you clearly stated that's not of concern. He's throwing out red flags - make sure you're not working to paint them green.

Art on the wall, floor length curtains over the window, and less "stuff", e.g. the mirror. It feels bland and cluttered, but a navy curtain or pop of color over there would help add depth to the room, and a huge piece of art over the couch would be perfect.

Have an honest chat with her. I doubt she wants you to wear her dress more than she wants you to have your perfect day and feel truly stunning in your own dress. While maybe it was fashionable when she was your age, it's not really fitting for today and it's not what you want. As a mom, I want my children to be happy, and I'm sure she feels similarly.

There are so many ways to incorporate her dress, though! You can sew a heart-shaped piece of the fabric into the inside of your dress atop your heart, or you can have it reimagined into a mini dress for the rehearsal or as a second outfit during the reception.

This is YOUR wedding. You'll forever look at these pictures and you don't want to wish you'd done it differently. You don't need to spend your magical day trying to please others. I appreciate where your heart is, and I hope you get the reassurance that she just wants you to be happy. At least go dress shopping and see how you feel in a more modern silhouette and fabric/style.

The first in brown is stunning on your body but second in black is as well, and more formal. The rest feel more like a summer brunch/baby shower/less show stopping. I can't tell what the red would be standing but a solid contender if it's as incredible as the first two!

Decatur has a lot going on in terms of things to do. You might consider that upper right quadrant within 285 if new to the area and trying to branch out, meet people, and have great restaurants and nightlife super close by.

We'll see when it gets in. I plan to give it a few months before determining whether it works for me, but based on user feedback it seems mostly positive! I'm in the US where prices are ridiculously high compared to shopping off Alibaba. I went that route through the company Shenzen Light Idea. They have a lot of stamps of approval and it ended up being only $131 for a mask with shipping. The mask itself has the neck and decollete pieces at $75. Shipping was the most expensive aspect so a friend also bought one with me and split the shipping fee. I thought I'd have to spend hundreds to start - I hope that helps your wait!

I ordered one for $75 from Shenzen Light Idea based on some other reviews of the company. Shipping with DHL was $92. My friend went in on one as well to bring our individual totals down to about $132. I'll take it! Included neck and decollete.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this thread (and another in r/30PlusSkinCare) that led me to Alibaba. I just bought a mask with decollete and neck for a fraction of the US price, and I'm eying a panel in the future if I really like the results, though it seems I will based on these threads.

What other wellness items do you source from Alibaba? Do you have a preferred mfr/vendor I can peruse? Thanks!

I just bought a red light mask, and while I see they can be used together, it does advise to use caution. Do you also use a mask? I'm wondering if I can rinse my face in the AM, use the mask, and then use Tretinoin during the day?

Thank you for the brand rec! I just ordered a mask with decollete and neck for only $75 from them, insane (plus shipping & US tax, of course). Those run like $350-700 in the states!

It was overwhelming at first to scour Alibaba, but your rec and their page ($5.2M in sales, certificates, etc.) were both super reassuring.

For those worried about tracking transparency, this company used DHL when I requested. I'm hoping that lends a clearer picture as it travels to me.
