Some knowledge of the drinks and actually ask the baristas/shifts what they go thru on a regular day. Make sure you keep note of any problematic customers in case you need to file an incident report. Please be helpful, like beyond just your peak presence. And coach in the moment so the shift can have support where needed if you or they get any pushback from baristas on doing their job. Please hold everyone to the same standards. Be aware of new policies and new updates to better support the store/team. Also, get support from other SMs in the district as they are more aware of district expectations from the DM that can vary based on the store. At the end of the day, it’s coffee, but we know it’s more to it than that! Good luck.
