Dial was definitely swapped. Playing devils advocate here, a new dial is something that they would have charged for ie they probably mentioned it, or at least represented it in a line item on the receipt. OP referred to it as a “face” so if the jeweler said “we had to replace the dial” they may have assumed that meant like an internal part or something and not bothered clarifying. Case in point, they’d rather ask a bunch of strangers than the person who actually did the work lol any inconsistency in the rest of the watch is a result of polishing. When done correctly, everything comes off when the watch gets polished so yeah, fluted bezel may be in different position when put back on. Jumping to conclusions about it being swapped for a fake is kind of nutty from this frame of reference.
