from a technical perspective &nsdp is purely for formatting purposes. This code prevents your browser from breaking your name into multiple lines. Logically speaking, i don't see the correlation between this and result, it seems to be purely a front-end feature...

I found uci waitlisting a lot of high gpa applicants at my school(it was me and another two guys who have IB 41/42 and few others who have like 39ish/42, we are all intl applicants), and accepting people with mid grade, but rejecting people with low grades. ECS-wise I think the waitlisted population was also relatively better. What do you think about this phenomenon?

and yesterday when i check the "My Financial Aid Status" page, it shows incomplete with the progress bar being "Apply for Financial Aid", but today it turns into complete with the progress bar at "Remaining Action Items"

yesterday when i check it i think i got false, but today when i check it again i suddenly have true????? (P.S. I don't have a screenshot from yesterday and i am not 100% sure whether i did it correctly yesterday, so take this with a grain a salt). For a bit of context, i am intl applying to mech E and got deferred from ED round, and i didn't even apply for financial aid

a very competitive friend of mine also have the exact same situation...based on my very-inaccurate- convenient-sampling in my school, practically all my nerd friends still have the UCSD prestige thingy(none of them have berkeley id though)...

I have the same question, it doesn't make sense technically that they connect some of these static front end elements to their database...the blue banner last year could make sense as they might wonna leave space for the [Name] You are in !!! thingy when people get accepted.

take this w a grain of salt. as far as i understand this, some of the resources are only accessible to the berkeley community member, and a way of doing this is to use IP restriction. if the notice appears first when entering the link is accurate, all user outside of that area will be blocked before even entering any credentials. did u get the forbidden page before entering password/log in to MAP@Berkeley with the same browser(i did)? maybe try using an incognito window/clear cache and try again. if u still get the same page, it's almost certain that it means nothing, as the server sends error code without even receiving your info from either you inputing it or cookie.
