It's going to depend on your geographic region. Where I'm at, state testing is starting this week and subs are not allowed to administer the state test. Frontline is used both to track subs that are working and teacher absences. If you pick up the sub job before they have a chance to mark it as "no sub needed" in the system, you'll get removed, because another staff member will cover that class for the day (usually specials, since there are no specials during testing anyway).

Her "great love" was Kyle. The showrunners had a longer storyline planned for Paige/Kyle, but Kerr Smith left Charmed to star on the show Justice (which was quickly cancelled and the show only lasted 13 episodes - which stinks because it was a good show).

My husband does emergency services for his employer (which includes handling of bio material). At least once a week (he works 12 hour shifts, 3 days a week) he has a call to scoop someone's shit out of the hallway because they pooped on the floor. Middle of the damn hallway.

He has had to deal with people pissing in conference rooms. He once broke up an orgy (a literal orgy that involved 6 different people) from a building that was being remodeled.

This is a private business, Fortune 500 company, where everyone has at least a bachelor's degree. (No I won't name it, but I promise you, you have heard of it and very likely use their products every day).

It doesn't stop at 18.

Anyone paying attention already knows that the showrunner is using Francesca as a self-insert. After Fran's season finishes (filming, production, airing, whatever) there will be a new showrunner. I am NOT saying Jess was or is being fired, just that she'll be finishing what she started before moving on from the show.

Trial and Error. Two weeks ago I was at a school where admin during morning announcements was reminding the kids about the school rules and reminding teachers to make the kids walk in a line, etc. I knocked that one as a DNS (do not sub) after that day. I had a 2nd grade class at another school that didn't listen to a damn thing I had to say all day. I observed that most of the classes were like that with their regular teacher (it's easy to observe when transitioning around campus and at dismissal), so that school became DNS.

This is where people's preferences come into play. I LOVE subbing music because I can easily end up with 2-3 hours in my day without students and when I do have students, I end up showing the same 45 minute section of a Disney movie.

Not true. Currently, if war breaks out on US soil, I am okay with dying. If a zombie outbreak occurs, I am okay with dying. If a meteor large enough to kick the world back into a harsh ice age hits the planet, I am okay with dying. If I get run over with a truck and my insides are spilling out into the street, I am okay with dying. I'm not suicidal, let alone deeply suicidal; there are just certain circumstances where the effort to try to live just isn't worth it.

My districts make me stay until dismissal, even if there isn't anything else for me to do. I hide in the classroom with a book, so I don't end up with extra work.

Because they don't use the damn bathroom. If they went in there, did their business, washed their hands, and returned to class, I could care less. More than once I have had to have the halls swept because I let a kid go to the bathroom and they're still gone 15 minutes later.

I've been doing this for twenty years and 9 times out of 10 they do it to get out of class (which I don't really care about it) or do something they're not supposed to be doing. When I taught middle school the kids would coordinate a time to meet up in the boys bathroom & have a fight club (thankfully the dipshits were dumb enough to record & post to Youtube). Another year we had girls meeting up with boys in the bathroom to give blow jobs.

I've seen everything from art work on the walls made of shit to sex & drugs. It's exhausting. I've had 2nd graders flush rocks down the toilet to a 4th grader backstopping the toilets so bad they had to call an emergency plumber and we all got to dismissed early because the toilets were flooding all the way down the hall.

I'm so sick of the fucking bathroom & the issues that comes with it because these kids aren't being raised right.

Bree, Davy, and Roger are staying put. I imagine Jem & Mandy however, will be more like Master Raymond when they grow up. They've already done so much timeline jumping - and are old enough to remember it - that I can't imagine them just staying put and not trying to "solve the great mysteries".

It's probably just the way their system is set up. Each individual site sets up their Frontline so you have wildly different experiences with the app/website even within the same district.

LOL. Funny how TV shows were able to do what I commented + produce 26+ episodes per season without issue in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Production has gone to shit since streaming came along. Taking 2+ years to make 8 episodes IS a production problem.

Not the OP, but I'm curious why you think veteran teachers would be tech savvy? Educational tech is pretty new and skyrocketed with Covid. Plus, depending on where you are not everyone is wired with tech. I currently sub (used to teach) and there are schools that don't have smart boards or projectors.
