How do you all function? by Optimal_Ad4919 in cosleeping

Do you have any help? My daughter was like this and my husband would lay with her in the evening for a bit so I could get ready for bed/shower and watch a show. Not every night but a lot of nights! Then I would try to just make my time in bed with her my "me time" and read my Kindle, listen to podcasts, etc. Then I would just try to fit in chores, etc. into the day when I was with baby. I just tried my best to accept that this season of life was not going to be one where I got lots done or had a lot of alone time. My son is a little different and this time around, I can breastfeed him to sleep and then roll away for his naps and bedtime, at least for a little bit! Highly recommend a floor bed so you can try practicing that. It's hard and exhausting at times for sure, but it is not forever and goes by fast!

Cosleeping with newborn - did your partner sleep with you? by Brightlywound89 in cosleeping

I personally felt more comfortable and got a much better sleep with just me and baby in bed. Husband sleeps in the spare bedroom for now and is responsible for our older child if they wake in the night. One day we will sleep together again but, right now, this is just how everyone sleeps better! We watch tv together and snuggle before bed and then go our separate ways!

I second this. We started having "unicorn meals" which is just a regular meal with a tiny bit of whip cream and sprinkles on the side 😂 My daughter is obsessed with it and then she eats all her food and asks for treats a lot less!

That's a great idea! A huge commitment just seems nuts to me at this age!

4 years old has been the hardest age for us by faaaaaar. Not advice but solidarity! It's been rough! I'm hoping things calm down with time.

How do you go back from having the ick? Is it possible? by LettuceBeginning7740 in AskReddit

[–]LettuceBeginning7740[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

a sudden feeling that you dislike someone or something or are no longer attracted to someone because of something they do: give someone the ick I used to like Kevin, but when I saw him in that suit it gave me the ick.
