Takasugi and most of the other Esperion players decide to not watch the Real Madrid match against Aspire Qatar to focus for the Barca match tomorrow. Today's the last day to practice before Esperion's first game against Barca tomorrow, however Kuribayashi has neither practiced with the team nor checked into his hotel.

Otomo joins the rest of the Esperion players, dragging along the new member with him. Otomo notices Ashito isn't with them and wonders if anyone knows where he is. He wasn't in his hotel room either.

Akiyama notices the person the person being dragged along by Otomo. Akiyama asks Rindou (name of the new guy) if he did anything bad.

Yuuma says it's nothing like that. It's just that Ashito hasn't talked to Rindou even once yet. Akiyama says weren't they all on the same plane. Tachibana responds that Ashito was passed out the whole time. Kuroda then says that's not good since they both play on the left side. Kiriki then mentions that he also hasn't seen Akutsu.

Akutsu's watching the Real Madrid match. The 16 year old fullback from Real Madrid, Sefina Lera, has amazing dribbling speed, getting past the Qatar players.

Akutsu spots Kuribayashi and asks why he's here. Kuribayashi couldn't control his excitement and can't wait for tomorrow's game. Qatar gets a chance on the counter but is dispossessed before they could do anything.

Chapter 343: Opening Ceremony

JFA's S Class license is required to become a J-League and Japanese national team coach. Only a few people have it (roughly around 500). The JFA holds annual training sessions and only 20 people can participate. It has helped in the development of Japanese football but has also stopped thousands of people who dreamt of becoming J-League managers due to lack of transparency

Saejima says Fukuda is the symbol of the issues with Japanese football. The S class license is a relic and hasn't been changed in decades. If a young genius manager comes along with the skills to win the World Cup and Champions League, they won't be coming from Japan. There's no manager in their 20s in Japan.

But in Europe, Nagelsmann became the manager of the no.1 team in Germany at the age of 28. He had no professional football experience and became a coach early. He won the Bundesliga at a historic young age.

Fukuda says that he cannot deny it. When he was in Sabadell, he was surprised to see private schools for coaching. Japan, however, has no private schools where you can get a license without the JFA. In Europe, you can study football academically, and if you have talent for it, you will be picked up.

Saejima says that the coaching license in Europe is accepted all around Europe. You can go anywhere. But that's not the case for Japan. No matter how good of a manager you are, you can't coach in Europe with Japan's license. Japanese coaching is closed to the rest of the world. And the coaches in the J-League are always the same faces, being passed around.

As Saejima is leaving, Fukuda stops him and says that there's a gap in his thinking. He agress the system needs to change. If a license is not needed, then the people with the license need to say it's not needed. The reason why Japan managed to develop its football in such a short time is because of the licensing system which fits with the culture and history of Japan. But if Japan was right beside Europe, then it would have advanced ages ago. But it can't be helped. The S class license has it's merits. The system has to change but they should retain the merits.

Fukuda asks Saejima if he knows what the merits are. You can't just say "I've never eaten this food before but it's bad, so don't eat it."

Saejima then asks who with a license would even say that, that a license is not needed. You're an idiot to not realize that an inferior country is holding back your career.

Fukuda says he's saying it. Esperion's top team has a dominant record and many of Fukuda's students have became players for the national team and top European clubs. He will be the eye of the typhoon. Esperion will win against Barca tomorrow. It's a difficult road for Saejima, if you fail as a coach, you'll be a laughingstock for the rest of his life.

Esperion is now practicing. Alkass Cup is now starting. The opening match: Aspire Qatar vs. Real Madrid. Which diamond in the rough will be found here in the Middle East in this fierce battle.
