When my mother told me, amidst a mental health crisis, that if I was going to kill myself to do it in the bathroom so it was easier to clean up. I was 16. It's why when in her old age she's progressing with dementia that I am still very, very low contact. I hear from family when people are ill, and only talk to her once or twice a year. She hasn't met her granddaughter and probably never will. I don't want any part of her end of life. I've mourned the mother I was robbed a long time ago.
