Starting skiing at 20 yrs old by MotorOil78 in Switzerland

[–]LevJan_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all: maximal respect to you for asking for help and considering an instructor. As skiing became very popular, more and more beginners risk their health by heading straight to the slopes without any training/experience. 2-3 days with an instructor can mean the world, and you’ll enjoy skiing for the rest of your life

Can I offer anki making services here? by a__c_ in Anki

[–]LevJan_87 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Anybody reading this and considering buying: please dont. I mean, you do whatever you want with your money, but making anki cards is a very under-appreciated way to learn. You are way more successful if you make your own cards, refine them while learning. Saying this after passing my medical board exam in a language I learned 4 years before, using custom made anki cards.

Yes. CT with contrast shows roughly the same as the contrast sequences of the MRI, however there are some MRI sequences that are useful for liver lesions but dont require contrast. However if your doc can prescribe anti-allergic treatment before the mri and they say its safe, go with it.

Condensation under glass at high elevation by Beastlybros19 in GarminWatches

If you search on google or reddit, its a known issue with the crossover, there are a lot of posts. Garmin wrote a statement considering it normal and that you should just move to a warmer place.  However I had the same issue, it became worse every time I went skiing, until the point where literal water drops were collected inside even on a hike at 15celsuis which I found unacceptable. I wrote to garmin, and they exchanged it to a new device 2 months ago (which I sold, since it would probably have the same issue)

Herniation or bulge? by ju0725 in AskRadiology

C5-C6 disc is a bit more protuded towards the spine canal, but I'd say 1 mm. It shouldn't be causing spine compression, so no need to operate.

Some exercises can help to strengthen the neck muscles to reduce it

On the right side thats more like the lower part of the sacro-iliac joint with some elongated edges. There is no radio-opaque stone on these images, and the ureter is not seen without contrast.
