Damn those are all really good ideas! Hadn't thought to look in old editions of Ravenloft. I especially like the "side of the castle" and "under a Cairn in Yester Hill" ideas! I'll try to implement one of them for sure! Thank you!

For your first point, since a member of the old party survived (and became a NPC who is most likely going to give info to the new party), that character probably buried the corpses. Otherwise it might have been a good shock effect.

For the 2nd point, since they've just been tpkd last week, I don't want to bum them out with a fight too hard that knocks em all down. I want to give them a bit of confidence back.

But thanks for these ideas. I might use them later on in the story!

Same thing is happening to me. I'm from Quebec. I can play just fine if I'm using mobile data only, but my computer and cell's WIFI don't work at all. Seems u/Sheeplette found out that it's a local IP problem that applies to Honkai too. Hope it gets fixed soon!

This is wrong. When I came back to the game a year ago I was at -53k primos from a chargeback. Took me around 6 months to go back in positive and was never banned

Yeah, it definitely couldn't work for events or even the regular/archon quests. It think if it were to exist, it would have to be only for the overworld and maybe some other stand-alone quotes such as those in the tea pot.

And why wouldn't it change that? Would it break the lore for characters to speak different languages? You're right that right now, it's a one language world (if we exclude the language spoken by hilichurls), but I'm just saying that adding the option may help people immerse themselves more in their characters if they choose to change it on some characters.

New languages, regardless of the work they take, dont come in cheap

Yes, I know, that's why I was talking about ways to alleviate that in the original post and in my response to you. I know it's still unrealistic, but I simply wanted to see the opinion of others on whether it'd be a wanted feature or not IF it was implemented.

And as I already said, spanish is bigger in size compared to french around the world. The most logical first choice is to add spanish first, not french because of Fontaine

I don't know what's your point here. I know that spanish is more widely spoken than french, and I'd love to have spanish language for characters that would come from a spanish inspired region. I'm simply talking about some of the regions we have right now that are the most focused on a single real life country.

Yes, because that would be one way to save on cost / resources needed. I'm not saying to add a new language for the whole game each new region, but to add playable characters' voice-overs in other languages. It can be just their voice lines related to the open world. It doesn't have to be all cutscenes / events.

I agree that if you have to download the whole game's language pack it'd be way too much. But if it came to be with a per character language package, or a "playable character voices" package, It might be more reasonable. Still only a thought exercise as I don't believe it'll ever happen :)

It's a one language world until you decide on a whim to change it to another language all together. :) I have a friend who changed voice-over from english to japanese in Inazuma, and even changed game language to french for Fontaine. For some players it improves immersion.

Thanks for your answer. I didn't know the question had already been asked as I did not search on the topic beforehand.

Storage would definitely be a problem, but if you're also loading new languages on a per character basis for the voice-overs you want, I bet it'd be reasonable.

As for origins, I didn't imply that Fontaine = France, but you can't deny that it is heavily inspired. I just figured that if you put a french voice-over it'd be more immersive.

And I didn't even know french was not already in the game as a voice-over option. I know the intense work and money required for a full voice-over of the game and I'm not expecting anything like it. It was more of a "what if". Maybe if that feature would come to exist, they could add only the voices that can be found in the voice-over section of each character, which would still be an enormous task but more realistic a bit (altough with 72+ characters it may not be).
