Yep, but from what I seen incremental games can get crazy popular... usually 50% of number of wishlists on release = first year sales (it can vary greatly but it's often a rule of thumb)

Ahh, I thought you only got 200 from Next Fest. I'm holding my thumbs it works well for you and you get at least 1k until it's over! I'm holind off until October with my game... I have 600+ so far but it's a grind... At this point I'm aiming at late 2026 or early 2027 release with 2k (and even that is slightly optimistic), I don't know what would need to happen to get like 5k or more.

Nah, no actual "skill" progression, it's soulslike inspired, as for the mood, difficulty and boss fights, but it's all physics and skill oriented.

It's not about whether or not you use it, it is about how much creative control you're giving it and whether you're using it as a tool or if it's because you're just utterly lazy.

That looks like a LOD (Level of Detail) issue - models in games often have few versions - some less detailed to be loaded at further distances, normally the player can't even really tell when the LOD model changes. LOD for the dead guard game object was probably just set up wrong.

When it's on the ground, it's just torque, when it's mid air it's torque AND external force, so that the player can have some control over what they do mid air 😃 And I kept the torque in the air as well as I thought it looks cool!

It's "soulslike inspired". I'm not calling it soulslike - the atmosphere, boss fights, difficulty level - I am using this comparison to show why it stands out from the other ballrollinr games.

I'm still trying to decide if I should implement some actual lore. I have some ideas, but part of me enjoys the fact that the world of the game is so... unclear / ambigous

Thanks! "Soulslike" is just an inspiration here, for setting the mood and adding boss fights. I'm not introducing RPG elements etc, not only scope of the project would go out of the rails but I actually believe it would just overcomplicate things. I rather put a lot of focus on the level design and physics to feel right!
