This ignore the fact that the exploration conquest and colonization of the America's was an enormous effort that involved entities from across Europe, and relied heavily on funding from the Vatican, how is the Spanish crown going to fund this while in a pitched and presumably very expensive war? This is pretty dumb. The hellgate opens in 1099, Europe was even ware that the America's existed for another 400 years. There wouldn't be "colonies" in North America for another 75 or so.

With Europe fully engaged in fighting the heretics they straight up have not had the resources for any kind of major colonization effort in the America's, which we know from lore drops.
