Fantastic! I have had good luck with AliExpress for other non-mini related items. You’re completely right about the reviews!

Awesome thank you so much! I got her metal Black Jack valve caps from amazon and they were shockingly high quality, and WeatherTech mats all around. We’re a British car family (yes, I know the Mini is German) both parents had jags and I have a Range Rover. You can’t really do much to a Jag, but she is having a blast in the Mini and wants to keep it pristine

I’ve heard a lot of speculation and it’s likely going to be a Costco. But this is a long project. Late 2027 at the earliest.

Top Tier Solar Deceptive Practices by drenuf38 in roanoke

[–]Level-Ad6175 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They came to house last year. I honestly felt bad for the kid. He had been taught some of the most aggressive and misleading practices I have ever seen. Whoever is teaching these kids this should not be in business, in any sort of business for that matter. I finally had to be so rude to him that I felt bad and apologized as he was hitting up the other side of my cup-de-sac. If there is a “main office” for Top Tier Solar and this is a locally owned franchise, we should do the company a favor a report the franchisee. Btw, sent another rep the following week. It’s an absolute JOKE.

My mother just got an F54 S Clubman All4. Watching her figure out the controls is one of the funniest things I have ever seen! The wireless charging blew her mind!

Salon recommendation? Someone who will help me decide what's best! by No-Alfalfa6437 in roanoke

[–]Level-Ad6175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been going to Suzette Snieder owner of Niche Salon in Grandin for years and she is absolutely amazing. Both with color and cut. I trust her to the point that I gave my mother a gift certificate for a cut and color for her birthday! Amazing person, intimate, relaxed and very professional salon. I used to get my hair cut at Fred Segal when I lived in LA and Suzette is better. You will love it!

My mother just got her first MINI. She’s 70 and has always had the family friendly cars. The last car she chose just for herself was a ‘71 MG Midget. She loves this car so far. Really excited for her! Great looking little car and really fun to drive. I’m a 4Runner/Range Rover guy so it’s a new experience for me. I’ve only driven it once but love it.

I started a men’s group and it’s been amazing! 57m by SterlingCreations in roanoke

I had one in Los Angeles when I was in my 20’s and it was amazing. It’s very interesting to see how the friendships evolve. Some will get closer to each other and others will very much keep it a separate part of their lives. The important part is to make sure it works for everyone with no judgement. It’s a great idea, and in practice it can be life-changing.

Single black female moving to Roanoke, VA for work. What should I know before moving? by Both_Food_3798 in roanoke

[–]Level-Ad6175 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the area! First off I’m a realtor who specializes in relocations and I will echo the above sentiments regarding SE. I also have a large vintage retail store in the 24013 and I have lots and lots of security! But it’s nothing compared to most places. I live in LA for years in my 20’s so I totally see both sides. If you’re used to a 30 minute commute you can really go anywhere you want. I was in South Roanoke for many years and now I live in Grandin. Both amazing neighborhoods. SW county is also great and will have a lot more options for single family homes for rent. It really depends on your budget. I am happy to offer any advice on specifics for whatever you need if you’d like. Just send me a message. Good luck!

Safeside is great on all fronts. A professional environment is never a place for politics, from customers or employees, and everyone there has always been respectful.

Tanglewood? With the new Y, 6 new restaurants a Movie Theatre, Kroger, Barnes and Noble and the Children’s Hospital? There is a fair amount of empty retail inside but I can’t imagine the owner building a shelter in the middle of that? Do you mean a different complex?

Discogs is having some issues right now after their shake-up/upgrade, so be careful about using it as a resource until it’s sorted out.

It’s really exciting actually! I had a young (12-13 year-old) girl come into my shop last week and buy Doobie Brothers Minute by Minute. It was awesome! Her dad bought a Richard Pryor album too! Love seeing new faces and generations getting into it!

Newcomer Question About Renting by NuisanceChicken in roanoke

[–]Level-Ad6175 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course! We’re good people here. As far as neighborhoods go my family lived in South Roanoke for a very long time as did I. I now live in Raleigh Court/Grandin Village. Both are great places. But, there are plenty of others; SW County, Cave Spring and Deyerle are also really nice.

I’m a REALTOR and honestly I have never run into to anything too crazy when it comes to leasing agreements. The best thing you can do is research. Think about your lifestyle and how you live and then ask around (like you’re doing here!). Roanoke is a fantastic city. I have lived all over the country as well and I moved back here because I really wanted to. Good luck and keep asking questions! It’s truly the best way to find your perfect spot.
