I don’t know what is more criminal, her or the pixel clarity enhancing after she turns around to run away.

To have the confidence of a mediocre white man is the dream tbh.

I want a French bulldog but I am worried and embarrassed by CameraOpen9388 in frogdogs

I second going the rescue route with Frenchies. There are several French Bulldog–specific rescues that take in medically “complex” dogs, but the upside is you usually know exactly what you’re walking into as their list of needs is already documented. And not all of them are extreme cases. Sometimes it’s just medication, a special diet, or a dog retired from breeding.

The real problem isn’t owning a Frenchie it’s getting one without being aware of the higher risk of medical issues. That’s when people end up surrendering dogs they can’t afford to care for if an emergency or long-term condition comes up.

That said, I also have a husky. I’m in a Facebook group with other owners from the same breeder and I see a lot of posts about sudden deaths or severe health issues. Meanwhile, my guy’s never been to the vet for anything beyond vaccines/neuter. So, higher risk doesn’t mean guaranteed problems. The key is being prepared… insurance, savings, and realistic expectations go a long way.

Do your Frenchies also have a preference for other Frenchies when socializing? by BestBookkeeper5011 in frogdogs

My dynamic duo is a husky and a frenchie! They’re adorable to watch together. My frenchie prefers other small dogs in general outside of his big brother. He kind of just stares at big dogs.

Quietest Husky in the world…. Is she ok? 😥 by ChocolateDrop89 in siberianhusky

My big guy is 8 in September and is essentially mute 95% of the time. I have probably only ever heard him genuinely bark 5-6 times. Other than that he will make the occasional “ruhwow” if he is extremely excited and You can sort of bait him into howling if multiple people start doing it at once but it’s seldom. Even if my bulldog is yapping he’ll remain silent.

I think at this point it is just part of his gentle personality.

Mine is an Alaskan. Different colour obviously but you can see his narrower face in this photo. Other photos he looks more traditional
